Molecular current switch
Nešpůrek, Stanislav ; Sworakowski, J.
Scheme of an optically controlled current switch is put forward, based on properties of a conducting polymer containing photochromic moieties chemically attached to the main chain. The idea is supported with results of calculations of local states for charge carriers formed in the vicinity of dipolar species in molecular materials, and with measurements of the drift mobilities in polysilane copolymers containing polar benzaldehyde 2,4-dinitrophenyl-hydrazone groups.
Electrical noise in thin films of metal-free phthaloxyanine
Nešpůrek, Stanislav ; Šikula, J.
Results of the measurement of current-voltage (I ~ U) characteristics and current noises in this films of metal free phthalocyanine are reported. I ~ U curves are typical of space-charge-limited currents. The noise in low-frequency region is of the 1/f type. A generation-recombination noise prevails in the higher frequency region.
The influence of dipolar species on on-chain mobility in polysilanes
Nešpůrek, Stanislav ; Sworakowski, J.
Polar additives or polar side groups in the copolymer poly([methyl(phenyl)silylene]-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone) make the original distribution of states broader as a consequence of the electrostatic interaction of the charge carrier with the dipole moment of the side groups; the drift and on-chain mobilities decrease and their activation energy increase.
Optical spectra of silicon-based polymers
Humlíček, J. ; Navrátil, K. ; Šik, J. ; Lorenc, M. ; Bočánek, L. ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav
The vibrational response of poly[methyl(phenyl)silane] and poly[biphenyl(methyl)-silane] have been investigated. As expected, narrow vibrational resonances are superimposed on a smooth interference background. The latter depends on the film thickness, its variation across the illuminated area, and the low-frequency limit of the electronic polarizability.
Luminescence in organic silicons prepared from organic precursors in plasma discharges
Horváth, P. ; Schauer, F. ; Kuřitka, I. ; Salyk, O. ; Weiter, M. ; Dokoupil, N. ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav ; Fidler, V.
Photoluminescence of plasma prepared the poly[methyl(phenyl)silanediyl] - during the change from linear 1D Si chain to amorphous 3D Si network was studied. The excitonic band with maximum at 353 nm in 1D Si undergoes a blue shift and broadening on introducing networking defects. With the gradual transition from 1D to 3D structure the redistribution of oscillator intensity along the absorption edge was observed.
Photoinduced charge transfer and quasi-stable molecular dipole formation in poly[methyl(phenyl)silylene]
Nešpůrek, Stanislav
The photoexcitation is a way to produce molecular dipole, especially in systems containing both weak donor and weak acceptor parts, where photoinduced electron transfer is possible. A stabilization is possible by a rearrangement of atoms in the molecule.
