Importance of lentic waterbodies and managed flooding for natural fish reproduction of lower River Dyje
Bartošová, Š. ; Jurajda, Pavel
In 1997-1999, the 0+ fish communities of backwaters, oxbows and flooded and non-flooded borrow pits along the River Dyje (Danube basin) were investigated. Species richness was high in flooded borrow pits and backwaters. Abundance was high in flooded borrow pits and oxbows. Non-flooded borrow pits present pure 0+ fish community.
Variability of natural reproduction of fish in the floodplain area
Bartošová, Š. ; Jurajda, Pavel
The 0+ fish communities of eight gravel pits along the River Dyje were investigated by electrofishing using the point-abundance sampling strategy in three years. Composition and quantity of 0+ fish communities were different among years.
Strategies of fish drift in lowland rivers
Reichard, M. ; Jurajda, Pavel
The diversity of strategies of fish drift (i.e. downstream transport of early development stages) were studied at global and regional (Central Europe) scales.
Diversity of 0+fish communities of two different stretches of the lower River Morava
Jurajda, Pavel ; Reichard, M. ; Černý, J. ; Hohausová, Eva
Recruitment of 0+fish in two lowland stretches (regulated-channelised and floodplain) of the River Morava was assessed.
