Selenium in prehistorical skeletal sets from Bohemia
Smrčka, V. ; Korunová, Vlasta ; Dobisíková, M. ; Zocová, J.
Selenium is one of the elements which can be used to study human diet at various historical periods. Since meat is the source of selenium (and zinc), selenium content in bodies is directly linked to amount of proteins in diet. Selenium content was used to study cultures of Eneolithic and Bronze Age.
Study of selenium distribution in graphite tube after in situ collection 75SeH2 by "Image plate" autoradiography
Korunová, Vlasta ; Selecká, Anna
The aim of the work was the determination of surface area of the trapped analyte inside the graphite tube, by "Image plate" autoradiography method with use of selenium-75 isotope as radioindicator.
New developments in hydride atomizers for atomic absorption and atomic fluorescence spectrometry
Dědina, Jiří ; Korunová, Vlasta ; D'Ulivo, A.
The most recent developments of multiatomizers and FIFS were described and performance of the atomizers namely in terms of resistance to atomization interferences and of minimization of the limit detection for AAS and AFS was discussed.
Evaluation of distribution of toxicologically important elements in urban dust from two Prague tunnels subway and road by sequential leaching and methods ICP-AES and GF AAS
Sysalová, Jiřina ; Száková, J. ; Drábek, M.
The three-stage sequential extraction procedure for speciation of potentially toxic trace elements As, Cd, Cr, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn has been applied to establish their distribution in urban dust from two Prague tunnels road Letná with automobile traffic and subway, station Muzeum. Analytes were determined by ICP-AES and GF AAS method.
In situ trapping of hydride forming elements within miniature atomizers New observations
Dočekal, Bohumil
New miniature atomization/collection devices were designed for in situ trapping of hydride forming elements. The performance of those based on graphite, bare and modified, and on other refractory materials (W, Mo) was investigated with respect to the efficiency of trapping procedure, influence of experimental parameters, geometry and surface modification, and to atomizer life time, gas composition.
Autoradiography of 75Se on Image Plate
Korunová, Vlasta
The Image Plate and BAS5000 Fuji Film instrument were used to depict a flat layout of 75Se and for its quantitative determination. The goal for this experiment was determinig the efficiency and area of selenium deposited during in situ trapping in the AAS graphite furnace. S graphite furnace.
New approach to stibine preconcentration: trapping of stibane on quartz surface with subsequent AAS determination
Kratzer, Jan ; Dědina, Jiří ; Rychlovský, P.
A new method of determination of trace stibine concentrations was developed. It enables, after 5 min. preconcentration, determination of samples with concentrations of tens of pg.ml-1.
Nový přístup k prekoncentraci antimonu: záchyt in-situ v křemenném atomizátoru pro atomovou absorpční apektrometrii
Kratzer, J. ; Dědina, Jiří ; Rychlovský, P.
The objective of this work was to to introduce a novel analytical method for antimony determination at low ppt levels
Stibine preconcentration on a quartz surface after stibane generation
Kratzer, J. ; Dědina, Jiří ; Rychlovský, P.
The aim of this work was to verify the possibility of the use of the quartz trap for stibine preconcentration before the atomic absorption spectrometric determination.
