Modeling of differential circuits by s-parameters for signal integrity evaluation
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
Scattering parameters /s-parameters/ are used for evaluation of signal integrity in the mixed-signal systems /analog and digital/ with high bandwidth and fast edge rates. In the paper a mixed-mode model of differential circuit and its relation to model of single-ended system is described.
Signal integrity enhancement of mixed electronic systems by differential signaling
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
Signal integrity of mixed-signal electronic systems may be considerably enhanced when properly designed differential signaling is used for interconnections. In the paper controlled characteristic impedances, rules of routing and terminating of differential lines are treated.
The contour plot as model of complex characteristics of linear system
Braun, Jaromír ; Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk
The objective of this paper has been to illustrate the use of the contour plot in various aspect of analysis and design of dynamic systems as filters, correctors or transmission lines in frequency domain. An illustrative example complex group-delay function have been evaluated by MATCAD program.
Modelling of differential line for signal integrity
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
Differential signaling gives high noise immunity, especially for critical signals in highspeed design. Modal decomposition of 3-wire differential transmission line results in two isolated decomposed transmission lines that may be analyzed separately. The overall response of a differential line is then superposition of two modal results.
Sondy pro analýzu integrity signálu
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
Models of probes and their physical and electrical connections to the point of measurements in testing of ultra-high-speed boards fror compliance with signal integrity are provided. The aim is, to minimize the loading effect of the probe and to see the most exact replica of the signal.
Testování a simulace dlouhých propojení na deskách plošných spojů
Blecha, T. ; Heindl, K. ; Braun, Jaromír ; Jelínek, František
This work evolved in cooperation with the IREE AS CR, where they deal with simulation of long wiring on substrate. At present we work with higher frequency and the problem is with long wiring here. For example, long wiring is a conductive way longer than 15 cm for frequency 2 Ghz. This conductive way often occurs in electronics /bus, clock, etc/. It may cause the problems related with form, width and distance of conductive way, via and another influence on these frequencies. This article describes the results of long wiring measure on designed test samples and these results compare with theoretical simulation.
Behaviorální modely spojů ve smíšených elektronických soustavách
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
In this paper the possibilities and limitations of interconnection models in the ICM /Interconnected Modeling Specification/ IBIS /Input/Output Buffer Information Specification/ format will be investigated with respect to isolation of signal integrity faults.
Některé otázky spojené s modelováním konektorů vysokorychlostních smíšených analogově číslicových systémů
Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk ; Braun, Jaromír
Connectors may be modeled as short multiwire transmission lines. The model of a connector contains only some partial inductances and the missing partial inductances of return paths must be added in order to obtain loop inductances required for the simulation of the system.
