The wakes behind constrained multiple impinging jet in crossflow
Dvořák, Rudolf ; Vogel, J.
The flow field in wakes behind constrained impinging jets has been analyzed on basis of detailed PIV measurements and numerical simulation (FLUENT). The character and structure of the wake flow plays a decisive role in heat and mass transfer applicatios. Comparison with the case of an isolated jet (or an uncostrained jet) has been made.
Multiple impinging circular jets in cross flow of the spent fluid
Dvořák, Rudolf ; Vogel, J.
The paper presented reports on the progress in investigation of impinging jets in the Institute of Thermomechanics and in the Institute of Applied mathematics at the TU Prague. It namela discusses differences between a 2D and 3D model.
Experimentální a numerické řešení dvourozměrného impaktního proudu s řízeným přisáváním
Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Vogel, J.
Original scientific work on the theme of experimental and numerical solution of two-dimensional impinging jet with controlled entrainment.
Vícenásobné stísněné impaktní proudy s příčným odvodem tekutiny
Dvořák, Rudolf ; Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Vogel, J.
Confined impinging multiple gaseous jets have extensive technological applications, being used for drying, heating or cooling (as eg. internal cooling of gas turbine blades). Their applicability, cooling efficiency, etc. depend heavily on the way the fluid is withdrawn from the exposed area. Good CFD results are rare, and numerous experimental results, as well as any generalization of the empirical findings require a well founded knowledge of the flow structure. The paper reports on the results achieved so far in the investigation of this problem.
Jet flowing into a cavity
Dvořák, Rudolf ; Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Vogel, J.
The flow field in a half-open space (cavity) generated by an impinging jet and a fountain jet of the spent fluid has been described. Results of numerical modelling (based on FLUENT) are presented, and a twodimensional test section for flow visualization and PIV measurements manufactured in the Institute of Thermomechanics has also been described.
Flow visualisation of the non-isothermal Von Karman Vortex Street from a circular cylinder
Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Wang, A. B.
Original scientific work on the theme of flow visualisation of the non-isothermal Von Karman Vortex Street from a circular cylinder.
