Zkušenosti s měřením reflexních vrstev u zrcadel používaných pro projekt Pierre Auger
Pech, Miroslav ; Hrabovský, Miroslav ; Schovánek, Petr ; Křepelka, Jaromír ; Palatka, Miroslav ; Nožka, Libor ; Mandát, Dušan ; Rössler, T. ; Řídký, Jan ; Boháčová, Martina
The Pierre Auger Observatory is designed for study of the universe's high energy particles, which evolve in the high layers of the atmosphere, where an elementary particle strikes with energy above 10.sup.19./sup. eV (1.6 J!). However, there is no scientific consensus about cosmic ray origin. The Auger Observatory is projected to gather the data needed to solve that puzzle. One of the detection technique is to observe these showers by fluorescent detectors, which are able to record the cascade development where the secondary particle causes atmospheric nitrogen to fluoresce.
Air fluorescence is defined as photons produced by charged particles in the air. The excited molecules emit light in the near UV and in the visible region between 300 nm and 400 nm. The simple light collection system for laboratory analysis of the fluorescence signal is presened. The optical layout of Surfscan 4500 (KLA-Tencor) is described and very high similarity between it and fluorescence colection system is shown.
Energie předávaná ionizujícími částicemi a inaktivační mechanismus v buňkách
Kundrát, Pavel ; Lokajíček st., Miloš
Energy loss of individual particles, their lateral scattering and energy-loss straggling are involved in the Bragg peak formation. A model of the Bragg peak of protons and light ions is presented that takes into account all these phenomena.
Pravděpodobnostní model popisující inaktivaci buněk ionizujícími částicemi
Kundrát, Pavel
Numerical analysis of experimental data concerning cell inactivaton by protons is presented, showing feasibility of the general probabilistic model of cell inactivation proposed by Judas and Lokajíček (2001), which enables one to respect even the detailed sructure of cell survival curves. Problems of corresponding numerical calculation are discused in details.
Study on material composition in the layer of coat produced by laser
Stranyánek, Martin
The article deals with investigation of layers produced by the laser cladding technology from viewpoint of material changes in treated area. The elements distribution was studied by scannig electron microscopy.
Disperzní relace v diferenciálním tvaru
Kolář, Pavel ; Fischer, Jan
Various forms of derivative dispersion relations and conditions of their validity and practical applicability as well as their relevance to high-energy small-angle hadron-hadron scattering are discussed
