Feasibility study of a small hydropower station within the navigation lock Přelouč II
Bolek, Marek ; Roth, Tomáš (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this dissertation is to prepare a study of a small hydroelectric power plant as part of the Přelouč navigation level II. The preparation deals with one of the possible variants for the layout design of given constructions. The layout design of a weir with an adjacent lock chamber which secures navigability for the stretch of the Elbe River located between the river kilometers 949,23 and 951,20 near the city of Přelouč in the Pardubice District is also included in the study. The introduction chapter contains the assessment of the environment, which is followed by the specification of the exact placement of the constructions. In the following chapter, a particular type of the hydroelectric power plant machinery is designed based on the available hydrological information and gradient conditions. The final chapter contains the design of the constructional technological layout of an machine room in the form of a technical report and drawing documentation.
Development of a Web Application for Documentation of Climbing Records
CINK, Jakub
The bachelor thesis aims to create a web application for the documentation of climbing records. The web application is based on the modern framework ASP.NET Core and deployed on the Microsoft Azure cloud service. For access to the data in the database is used object-relational mapper Entity Framework Core and the application was developed in an integrated development environment Microsoft Visual Studio. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a description of the following terms: web application, database, climbing, sport climbing, and technologies that were used in the implementation of a web application. The practical part solves the requirements and layout of the web application. Furthermore, describes the implementation of individual components such as controllers, models, views, and other necessary parts. The last chapter describes the testing of the web application.
Impact of Juvenile Indebtedness on Subjective Experience of their Quality of Life
ŠVARCOVÁ, Anna
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of adolescents' indebtedness. This is a topic that is not very reflected, but is very current. Qualitative research has been applied to the empirical part. To achieve the set goals and obtain the necessary data, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used. The aim of the research was to find out what the subjective experience of the quality of life of indebted adolescents is. During the research of the bachelor's thesis, emphasis was placed on individual aspects of their lives. I followed up with the goal, which had the task of mapping the causes and consequences of indebtedness for this target group. The last goal of the research part was to find out whether adolescents have the motivation to repay their debts. The presence of debts in life has a negative effect on the subjective perception of quality of life. Indebtedness affects several areas of life, including health, relationships, leisure and behavior. Adolescents have the motivation to repay debts, but in connection with debts they are not satisfied with their own lives. One of the obstacles to reach satisfaction is the insufficient saturation of needs that are not met in connection with debt. The bachelor thesis could be useful in the field of social work, especially for students in this field who are interested in insight into this issue. The work could also be an incentive for social workers, who are not yet involved in the prevention of indebtedness in children and adolescents.
What happens to ear morphology on the way underground? A case study on the family Spalacidae.
PLEŠTILOVÁ, Lucie
This PhD thesis is concerned with the effect of specialization to the subterranean environment on ear morphology in the rodent family Spalacidae. The outer, middle and inner ear morphology in four species with a different proportion of subterranean activity was described and analyzed. The Chinese bamboo-rat (Rhizomys sinensis) was identified as fossorial regarding its ear morphology. The strictly subterranean Gansu zokor (Eospalax cansus) possess a highly specialized subterranean ear morphology with a suggested acoustic fovea. Meanwhile, the less subterranean African root-rat (Tachyoryctes splendens) shares traits with both strictly subterranean and epigeic rodents. The aboveground characteristics are even more prominent in the fossorial giant root-rat (T. macrocephalus). Taken together, the results confirm that the ear morphology of spalacids mirrors their degree of fossoriality.
Lidar Vertical Profile Analyzes at National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice during Volcano Eruption on La Palma Island.
Kostyk, Juraj ; Holubová Šmejkalová, A. ; Ištok, T. ; Ždímal, Vladimír
Volcanic eruptions are one of the most important sources of natural aerosol. Their negative impacts on air quality (the effects of volcanic exhaust) can be observed via long-range transport to locations far from the eruption. One of the most recent events of volcanic activity was a volcanic eruption on La Palma in the fall of 2021 (Cumbre Vieja Volcano, La Palma Island, Canary Islands, 28°36'54 ,N 17°52'07 ,W, 1,949 m a.s.l.). The impact of the volcanic eruption on air quality, which occurred 3600 km from the National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice, was studied using a combination of ground-based measurements and vertical profile analyzes. Since a new instrument (LIDAR) has extended the equipment of our station, vertical profile analyzes were performed.

I describe disorders of the autistic spectrum, their causes and manifestations. I also deal with general tertiary education. In the last part of the theoretical work I describe university education of people with autistic spectrum disorders. The empirical part defines the research problem, the research objectives and the research set. A case study was used here. The semi-structured interview method was used to collect the data. A research survey was conducted with two informants who described their college studies in detail. I also analyzed the documents I received from the informants and conducted interviews with classmates of the informants. On the basis of case studies, we learned how the undergraduate study of the informants, what problems they encountered, what kind of relationships they had with their classmates and teachers, what specific needs they had and what support measures they had implemented.
