Petrák, Marek ; Šídlo, Luděk (advisor) ; Slabá, Jitka (referee)
Development of regional differentiation of fertility in Czechia at the AD MEP level in years 1996 to 2020 Abstract The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the development of the intensity and timing of fertility in the Czech administrative districts of municipalities with extended jurisdiction (SO ORP) for the period 1996 to 2020. Another goal is the regionalization of these administrative units based on the values of indicators representing fertility. The first part of the thesis provides a summary of the most important theoretical starting points for the study of fertility in connection with the significant changes in reproductive behavior that took place in the territory of the Czech Republic after 1989. The practical part further focuses on the analysis of the regional development of fertility intensity using the indicator of total fertility and the timing of childbirth using the indicator of average age at birth of the child. The development of regional differentiation is further statistically described using the basic indicators of descriptive statistics and visualized using cartographic means of expression. The analytical part of the work revealed that there is indeed a differentiation in the intensity of fertility and its timing, not only regionally, but also over time. Keywords: fertility,...
Fluorescent nanoparticles based on organic chromophores
Čekal, Josef ; Kratochvíl, Matouš (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
This study aims to create Host-Guest nanoparticle systems exhibiting white light emission (WLE) using organic molecules, achieved through Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) mechanisms. Substituted stilbene-based compounds were utilized for the preparation of nanoparticle systems, with CA-DPS-V (H2) and CA-DPS-CHO (H1) used as donor/matrix materials, and CA-DPS-DCV (G1) and DPA-DXS-IOO (G2) as acceptor/dopant materials. Three nanoparticle systems were synthesized via nanoprecipitation from common solutions of the compounds in THF: system 1 (H1+G1), which did not achieve WLE, system 2 (H2+G1), and system 3 (H2+G2). Systems 2 and 3 were characterized using fluorescence spectroscopy and FRET parameter calculations. It was found that the Förster distance in system 2 is shorter than in system 3. This variation in Förster distance affects the composition ratios capable of WLE. The closest proximity to the white point (0.33, 0.33) was observed in system 2 at molar ratios of 110:1 (0.32, 0.38) and 164:1 (0.29, 0.32), and in system 3 at ratios of 340:1 (0.34, 0.30) and 476:1 (0.31, 0.28). Thus, the goal of the study was achieved, demonstrating that nanoparticles capable of WLE can be prepared in this manner. However, a drawback of the prepared nanoparticles was their low photostability. Future work could focus on synthesizing more stable nanoparticles from structurally similar compounds. These particles could then be further characterized in terms of structure and other properties for potential applications.
Ethical questions in the work of radiation protection specialists
HÝBLOVÁ, Marie
This thesis deals with the ethical decision-making of radiation protection professionals in accordance with the Decree 422/2016 Coll. on Radiation Protection and the Atomic Act 263/2016 Coll. The aim of the thesis is to identify and specify the ethical problems encountered by radiation protection professionals (e.g. radiation protection officers, inspectors of the SNPP, etc.), to analyse ethical issues and dilemmas in this field and to find answers. The theoretical framework focuses on the concept of ethics, its development, history and a detailed description of the different ethical orientations. It then goes on to cover the basic ethical values in the radiation protection system, procedural ethical values, principles of radiation protection, protection from external exposure, monitoring, incidents, accidents and their assessment, preparedness and response. The radiation protection chapter also includes a description of the infrastructure of the radiation protection system. The theoretical part of the thesis also includes a description of organisations dealing with radiation protection in the Czech Republic and organisations dealing with radiation protection in the world context. The empirical research was conducted through a questionnaire survey and structured interviews that were completed by radiation protection personnel. The research results were evaluated using qualitative methods. The research questions were designed by asking respondents about their attitudes towards ethical issues in radiation protection and their experiences and views on aspects of working in this field. The research results were then interpreted to analyse the ethical issues and dilemmas faced by radiation protection professionals in their work. The thesis focuses on identifying key aspects of ethical decision-making in radiation protection and explores ways to improve current practices and policies. Subsequent results provide important insights into professionals' attitudes towards ethical issues. The conclusion of the research highlights that radiation protection requires an integrated approach that respects the diverse approaches of professionals in this field. Transparent communication and public participation are key to successful radiation protection strategies.

Manufacturing of ignition cover pad
Dostál, Martin ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis solves the design of the technology of production of the ignition cover pad made of steel 11 321 with a thickness of 1 mm with zinc surface treatment. It serves as part of the motorcycle engine sealing system. The part is rotating in shape with a diameter of 35 mm and consists of a central extrusion and a hole. The size of the series is 25,000 pieces per year. Production by a progressive compound tool from a coil with dimensions of 1200 x 500 mm is chosen. 3 forming operations with eating between steps are selected, which are implemented by cutting and embossing technologies. The necessary forming work of 476 kJ and the force of 267 kN are determined, according to which the PRESSIX CNV4 eccentric press is chosen. The machine is introduced into the automated Shungdar SJD and SJK production line, which consists of a straightener, unwinder and feeder.
The Reactional Capability's Ensuring of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemian Region's Operational and Information Center during It's Endangering by Selected Types of Emergencies
DUBSKÁ, Šárka
This bachelor thesis is about situations of jeopardy of operational and information center of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemia Region that can occur during the extraordinary events (incidents) such as floods and leak of dangerous gas. For better explanation there is small brief about characteristics of main type of dangerous gas and substance and characteristics of dispatching centre. Chosen problem is solid by the research about ability to maintain readiness of the operational and information center of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemian Region. Two main hypotheses were verified by the research. The first hypothesis was disproven and the second was proven correct. H1: Altitude and location in the building is important in case of protection of the operational and information centre of the Fire Brigade of the South Bohemia Region. H2: Air condition with carbon filters is sufficient in the case of leak of dangerous substances. Verification of hypothesis made its part in fulfilling of goals in this thesis. The goal was to propose options for ability to maintain readiness of the operational and information center of the Fire-Brigade of the South Bohemia Region. The conclusion of the research that has been made is simple - the best way is to form a backup workplace - proper equipped. The benefit for theory is that some examples of extraordinary events - incidents - were explored and described. The functioning of the dispatching centre during those theoretical events was Explorer and described too. The benefit for practice could be found in propositions for securing of dispatching centre from the threat of poisonous gas leak and from flooding. The research that was made could be starting point that can trigger next research about other threats that can occur and jeopardize the dispatching centre workplace.
Issues in pediatric palliative care
KUNCOVÁ, Karolína
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of children's palliative care abroad and in the Czech Republic. First, it describes basic palliative care, where it defines for whom this service is intended. It also distinguishes forms of providing palliative care and then analyzes the professions that the multidisciplinary team is composed of. It mainly focuses on the work of a social worker in the care of terminally ill persons. Then it deals in depth with palliative care for children and young people, especially the lack of an inpatient hospice. It gives examples of mobile hospices that provide professional help for children at home. The third chapter of this work deals with the concept of death in children and adolescents according to age groups. It describes how the understanding of death evolves from infancy to adolescence. It also describes the spiritual aspects of care and discusses the spiritual needs of children, parents and siblings in more detail. The present work seeks to shed light on the inadequacy of specialized facilities providing respite stays for seriously ill children.
The Role of the Roman Army in the Political Instability in the West in the 5th century CE
SEKANINOVÁ, Markéta
This thesis follows a period between 395 - 476 AD and aims to refer to the connection of political stability and the state of the Roman army in the very last century of the Western Roman Empire's existence. This will be done by research of individual usurpers in the 5th century because most of them come from the Roman army. The thesis will further analyse the connection of said stability with migrations of Germanic tribes and their brunt on the West through the barbarization of the Roman army. A question of why the political development in the East was more stable and why the Western Roman Empire perished in the process of the 5th century will also be examined.
