Trace elements in carbonates of the Czech Creataceous Basin
Štěpánková, Anna ; Procházka, Václav (advisor) ; Štaffen, Zdeněk (referee)
The presented work is focused on research of distribution of trace elements in carbonate sediments and fossils in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. To obtain maximum information about the composition of the primary carbonate and its crystallization environment, the trace elements were analyzed mainly in fractions soluble in diluted acid. Another objective is the comparison of trace-element abundance in the soluble fraction and in the residue (or in the total mass of the samples). The results show that there are no systematic differences in the chemical composition of the original carbonate between various regions and stratigraphic positions (Cenomanian - upper Turonian). Elements like Sr, Mg and Mn in carbonate were affected by diagenesis, but contents and mutual ratios of the rare earth elements in all carbonates are similar and are characterized by negative cerium anomaly. The Ce-anomaly could be attenuated by elevated content of clastic matter, and in the soluble portions ocassionally via contamination by secondary phosphate. On the other hand, soluble fractions of limonite-rich and calcite-poor sandstones have positive cerium anomaly, which is the effect of Ce-sorbtion on limonite.
The Safety of War Correspondents Applied to the First Chechen War
Štěpánková, Anna ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Hájek, Roman (referee)
This thesis deals with the safety of war correspondents, especially during the first Chechen war. In the beginning of a theoretical part, I describe the conflict from a historical perspective. I mention its precedence, course and aftermath. Then I describe the war through the eyes of war correspondents, who had witnessed the war and described their experience in books. I am also concerned with a development of the protection of the war correspondents. I mention laws, declarations and studies that have dealt with their safety both in the 20th century and in recent years. Furthermore, based on a research of the literature I examine the preparation courses for military conflicts, safety rules and equipment that they had during wars. I primarily focus on the conflict in Chechnya. An analytical part is based on interviews with three Czech journalists who worked in the first Chechen war. I talked with them about safety rules that they had followed, facilities that they had been provided with, their financial situation, and overall problems that they had had to deal with. The journalists were supposed to compare the conditions under that they had been working with the ones of their foreigner peers. I also asked them how they had psychically recovered from the war experiences. The agenda is also...

Le Corbusier's Architectural and Urban Visions in perspective of Semiology
Štěpánková, Anna ; Marcelli, Miroslav (advisor) ; Váša, Ondřej (referee)
of Diploma Thesis "Le Corbusier's architectural and urban visions in a semiological perspective The subject of this thesis is a semiological analysis of Le Corbusier's text Towards a New Architecture. It methodologically follows semiological conceptions of Ferdinand de Saussure and Roland Barthes. The main methodological source is a work of French theoretician of architecture and urbanism François Choay, The Rule and the Model (1997), in which she has stated three paradigms, which according to her, influenced forming of modern urbanism as an autonomous science: genre of architectural treatise, utopia and scientific discourse. For each of these discursive forms she has identified characteristic signs. Le Corbusier is considered as a symbol of modern movement of architecture and urbanism, who broke away from an old tradition and brought to realm of architecture and urbanism a new insight. The fundamental question of this thesis is, whether this innovative approach could be found also in his texts, in the manner how Le Corbusier wrote about architecture and urbanism, or whether Le Corbusier followed an old tradition. This question should be answered in the course of searching for the signs of mentioned paradigms postulated by F. Choay.
Evaluation of warehouse workers productivity
Štěpánková, Anna ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Čech, Peter (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a new system to measure and evaluate the productivity of warehouse processes in Euromedia books wholesale warehouse. The Warehouse management system (WMS) is implemented in the warehouse, so the company has information about processes within warehouse. However, the system does not have any tool to measure and report the productivity of individual workers and shifts. So the manager of the warehouse does not have enough data for efficient human resource management. The basics of warehousing and the warehousing interrelationships are described in theoretical part of the thesis. The processes within warehouse are firstly described in general and then with direct connection to processes in the warehouse of the company Euromedia. The analytical part is dedicated to detailed analysis of output data from WMS from the time period from February until May 2015.The outcome of this analysis is a suggestion how to assign individual workers to shifts, how to measure the productivity of individual processes and how the productivities of different processes can be compared. At the end of the thesis, there are recommendations how to measure the productivity now and how to proceed in the future to achieve a more precise outcome of the productivity measurement. The proposed measures contribute to better and more efficient human resources management in Euromedias wholesales warehouse.
Faktory ovlivňující uplatnění absolventů ekonomických fakult na trhu práce v Jihomoravském a Moravskoslezském kraji
Štěpánková, Anna
The diploma thesis deals with the employability of business graduates in the la-bour market and the average period of rate of return of the investment to the education. To accomplish the goals of the thesis quantitative survey was realized on graduates of four business schools in South-Moravian and Moravian-Silesian district. Based on the results of the survey factors affecting the employability of graduates in the labour market were identified. The factors were also identified and compared through the universities separately. The average period of rate of return was computed with a ratio of added value to the university educated salary and total amount of the study costs. Literature review discusses the issue of labour market, graduates and human capital.
