Title: Effect of therapeutic intervention and etiological basis of subacromial impingement syndrome - literature review Aims: Goal of this thesis is to assemble and describe a well arranged summary about clinical diagnosis known as Subacromial impingement syndrome and to conduct a research of literature available from online databases that would draw a conclusion as to whether its pathogenesis, as described by its authors, is consistent with the newest scientific knowledge and research and whether the current surgical treatment of first choice for this pathology is justified. Methods: Current thesis is composed as a literature review with analytical-descriptive character. Review itself is divided into two parts, each of which is dedicated to a different point of view regarding the diagnosis. Methodology chapter defines tasks, approach and criteria according to which this diploma thesis was conducted. Results: After application of research criteria, 20 papers were included in the current literature review, of which 9 made a compilation of studies evaluating the effectiveness of arthroscopic subacromial decompression and the remaining 11 papers quantified the size of subacromial space. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after an ischemic stroke Aims: Goal of this thesis is to assemble a well arranged consolidation of theoretical and practical knowledge of strokes and at the same time to formulate a case study of a patient who suffered an ischemic stroke resulting in mild left-sided hemiparesis. Summary: The first general section of this bachelor thesis includes detailed description of pathological process known as stroke. Author devotes himself to anatomical structures securing vascular supply of the brain, pathogenesis and etiology of this condition, different types of stroke and how these differ, manifest, are diagnosed and treated. Author also mentions risk factors and how to prevent the formation of stroke. At the end, fundamental physiotherapy principles of treating a stroke patient are summarized. The second special part of this thesis includes case study of a patient who suffered an ischemic stroke. In this section, author presents results of the initial examination he performed, outlines therapeutic plan and records every therapy session with the patient.
