Šašková, Vlasta ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Title: The Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement. Objectives: The main aim of this work was to summarize theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This work consists of two main parts - general and special part. The general part contains information about hip joint anatomy and kinesiology, coxarthrosis, congenital hip dysplasia, total hip replacement and rehabilitation after total hip replacement. A special part is processed in the form of a case study of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement. It includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological examination, goals of short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological examination and a final evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The goals of the short-term therapeutic plan were fulfilled. During the therapy, soft tissues were relaxed, the muscle tone of the hypertonic muscles was reduced, the range of motion in the joints of the lower limbs increased, the joint play restored, the weakened muscles strengthened, the shortened muscles stretched and the gait improved. Keywords: total hip replacement, arthroplasty, hip joint, coxarthrosis, physiotherapy, case study

Šašková, Vlasta ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Influence of pilates method on the stabilizing system of the spine Objectives: The main aim of this diploma thesis was to confirm or refute the claim that a six-week motion program using the pilates method positively affects the stabilizing system of the spine. The partial aims of the work were to determine whether the a six-week motion program using the pilates method had a positive effect on the posture, spinal mobility, shortened muscles and standing stabilization. Methods: As a method of research, a case study was selected involving two adult persons (males). The motion program was preceded by an initial examination. In particular, static examination of the standing position, dynamic examination of standing position (flexion, extension, lateroflexion), examination of stabilization (Véle test, stand on 1 LL, standing on 2 scales), examinations of spinal distances (Schober's, Otto's and Čepojev's distance, lateroflexion), goniometry of rotation of thoracic and lumbar spine, examination of shortened muscles according to Janda (hip flexors, knee flexors, pectoralis major and minor, m.trapezius and paravertebral muscles) examination of postural stabilization by Kolář (extension test, trunk flexion test, diaphragm test, hip flexion test). Participants then underwent a six-week motion program...

Title: Zumba as means of body fat reduction Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to assess Zumba as means of body fat reduction. Exercise intensity was monitored at ten different sessions of Zumba. The target band was set at 75-85% of maximum HR, which is the best for body fat reduction and at duration of exercise load for at least 15-20 minutes. Methods: In this study, the method of comparison was mainly used when comparing the intensity of exercise load of individual Zumba fitness lessons and heart rate monitoring method using sporttester. Another objective of this thesis was to highlight the benefits of Zumba as an aerobic exercise by summarizing the main effects of the aerobic exercise, to bring an explanations of the basic principles and methods of aerobic exercise and to explain the basic processes ongoing in the body during and after aerobic exercise. Results: From the data, it was found out that the subject's HR during the Zumba lesson was oscillating within the target band 75-85% of the maximum HR on average 31 minutes and 46 seconds. Expressed as a percentage relative to the total time the lesson it was 58% of the total time, with a mean standard deviation of 8%. In conclusion Zumba was considered as an appropriate physical activity for reducing body fat, on...
