Spontaneous revegetation vs. forestry reclamation of mining sites on different spatial scales
ŠEBELÍKOVÁ, Lenka
Spontaneously revegetated and forestry reclaimed post-mining sites were compared on the basis of chronosequence approach. The differences in the course of vegetation development, species composition and species richness were assessed. Key factors influencing species composition on forestry reclaimed post-mining sand and sand-gravel pits and the trajectories of vegetation development were determined. Possibilities and limitations of the use of forestry reclamation and spontaneous revegetation were defined.
Spontaneous succession vs. technical reclamation in the sand pits of the Třeboň area
ŠEBELÍKOVÁ, Lenka
Vegetation sampling was carried out to determine how two approaches to land reclamation differ in the species richness and the development in time. Different stages either spontaneously re-vegetated or technically reclaimed were analyzed in sand pits located in the Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area in the Czech Republic.
The effect of fertilization on plant decomposition in two wet grasslands
ŠEBELÍKOVÁ, Lenka
A basic literature review about decomposition processes in general and decomposition on wet ecosystems in particular was provided by this thesis. The aim of the practical part was to determine how increased fertilization changes aboveground decomposition rates of the dominant plant species in two wet grassland sites in the Czech Republic.
