Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa
Sál, Kristián ; Šubrt, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis I dealt with the design of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa, which is the capital of Ethiopia. The basic idea was to create the most compact building possible, which would take into account all specific requirements. In one building there are representative premises with facilities, consular and visa building, office building and residential building. All this is connected by a terrace, which responds to external roads. Only minimal buildings for local staff are completely separate.
Restoration of Villa Wagner
Sál, Kristián ; Žáková, Dagmar (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor) ; Novotný, Miloslav (advisor)
The assignment of my work within the monument restoration studio was to create a small wellness center, as part of the family villa in Malomeřice. In my work, I tried not to disturb the surrounding development with an unique element. For the wellness center I created a separate structure within the garden behind the villa and I chose the volume of this structure to fit in with the surroundings.
The Compact urban structure in the Czech Republic
Sál, Kristián ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis assignment is a proposal for urban interventions in the city of Moravský Krumlov. The urban study focuses on the historical core of the city, the adjacent production area, and the bus terminal, all of which are situated within the meander of the Rokytná river. The diploma thesis consists of an analytical and a design part. The analytical part comprehensively analyzes Moravský Krumlov, with a specific emphasis on the area under consideration. The design part explores various interventions in the historical core, presents a vision for the production area that integrates it with the city, and addresses the bus terminal. The proposed interventions take into account factors such as walking distances, architectural diversity, seamless integration with the surroundings, and an appropriate architectural expression based on the nature of each intervention.
