Variability of grave goods in female burials in the middle La Téne period in Bohemia

Presented diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of the female graves of the La Tène period in Bohemia, more particularly it relates to quantity, material and placement of every objects of the grave goods. Observed variability indicates time, regional and in some mesure social differences which influenced the composition of the grave set. Within the comparison, the graves from Moravia, Slovakia and Austria have been also taken into consideration.

The perception of Celtic culture in Czech society

Presented Bachelor thesis is devoted to perception of Celtic culture in contemporary Czech society with great emphasis on some charakteristic symptoms, which are often labeled as so called celtomania. It is a phenomenon whose origin can be traced to 18th century in British Isles and France. From there, the wave of so called celtomania have spread to the other European countries. In the Czech Republic it was most apparent after 1989, after the fall of communist regime. For example, different clubs focused on Celtic culture were established. The purpose of this work is to describe this increased interest in Celts in our country with taking into consideration the mentioned situation in north-western Europe.

La Téne burial ground in Zeměchy (dist. Mělník)

Presented Bachelor diploma work is devoted to elaboration and evaluation of La Téne burial ground in Zeměchy near Kralupy nad Vltavou, which was excavated during archaeological rescue research in 2007. The purpose of work is study particular aspects of funeral rite in this burial ground and then it will be interpreted by using analogies. Part of work is also connecting the burial ground with La Téne settlement context in area of Knovíz stream. Key words Zeměchy - La Téne period - burial ground - Knovíz stream
