Web Traffic Data Export to MAFF
Janeček, Vít ; Pluskal, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis was to get acquainted with the principles of transmission, storage and re-visualisation of web traffic. The next part lied with the design and realization of the module for the reconstruction and exporting of the web traffic contents. This module allows to assemble the websites acquired from the captured web communication. It also allows to visualize such websites. The outputs of the module are made through the archival format MAAF, which serves to store web pages for the option of later display. The basic validation of the module functionality was done using test sets.
Social Networks Reconstruction of Captured Communication
Dudek, Jindřich ; Kmeť, Martin (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
We live in a modern world surrouded by many forms of information technology. Majority of communication among people is realized through the internet and usage of social networks is everyday matter which leads to reduction of personal communincation and to higher usage of dating sites. However these sites are often a place where potentinal deliquents occure. This thesis deals with reconstruction of captured communication from social networks Lidé.cz and Xchat. Man-in-the-middle attack was used to capture data needed for analysis of communication protocols. Bachelor thesis focuses on identification of communication methods of social networks mentioned above and on analysis of their communication protocols. From these communication protocols are chosen events interesting for forensic analysis. Result of this thesis is an extension which provides support of the communication protocols for application Netfox Detective.
Reconstruction of Captured Communication on iOS Platform
Letavay, Viliam ; Kmeť, Martin (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
These days our mobile devices along with social networks are giving us an opportunity to be in touch with our friends and family at any time. Howerver they could be also used for criminal activity. This thesis therefore deals with reconstruction of communication of the iOS applications Google Hangouts, Twitter and Facebook Messenger for use of forensics analysis with the main focus on an abillity to recover their chat communication. Later it also deals with the implementation of Netfox Detective tool extensions, allowing the reconstruction of this communication.
Captured Communication Processing on Distributed System
Hvězda, Matěj ; Lichtner, Ondrej (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
When you need to assess or troubleshoot network by analysing capture file, you want it done as fast as possible and you do not always have a high-performance computer. Here comes the distributed system, which allows you to use his high computing power and lot of available memory. I introduce distributed application, which is scalable, extensible and capable of processing captured network communication and is developed for Windows platform. That provides technology, like Microsoft HPC Pack and Windows Communication foundation. The application supports multiple capture formats. In parallel system (cluster), exists database in order to save statistics and data of captured communication in order to save user's computer memory so client's application can be used for low-performance computers or make data available to a client after distributed processing.
Instant Messaging Network Analysis and Reconstruction (YMSG and YMSG)
Pluskal, Jan ; Polčák, Libor (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is analysis and reconstruction of network communication using YMSG and ICQ protocols. This paper contains detail description and message structure of these two protocols. Subsequently creation of experimental tool is discussed and used for reconstruction of YMSG communication. Results show that output of this tool is correct with reference to YMSG protocol. Thesis also outlines MS Network Monitor and introduces specialized NPL parsers for YMSG and ICQ.
Automatic Transport Protocol Detection in Captured Communication
Lazárek, Zbyněk ; Kmeť, Martin (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a library in C#, which will be able to automatically detect transport protocols in a captured network traffic. This library can recognize a transport protocol in tunnel traffic without the knowledge of tunneling protocol. The~thesis describes the unique signatures of TCP / IP protocols on which the automatic detection is based. Furthermore, it is described how the detection works. The conclusion is~subjected to automatic detection tests, which are designed to review its performance and efficiency.
HTTP-Request-Based Identification
Jeleň, Jakub ; Pluskal, Jan (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the identification using HTTP requests in network traffic. It explains principles of HTTP communications and identification. Additionally the application design is created, which identifies web browser and then this application is implemented. The application is designed as a separate module which can be integrated into projects Moderní prostředky pro boj s kybernetickou kriminalitou na Internetu nové generace. Then are executed experiments with that tool to verify the functionality and utility of this tool.
Facebook Social Network Datamining and Reconstruction of Captured Communication
Bruckner, Tomáš ; Kmeť, Martin (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with social network Facebook from perspective of computer forensic science with focus on obtaining sensitive information about tracked users. Its main goal is implementation of the tools for reconstruction of captured communication and Facebook data mining. Core of this application has been implemented in framework for processing of captured communication Netfox.Framework, which is being developed by Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology. Man-in-the-Middle attack has been used for capturing of decipherable communication. Selenium WebDriver has been used as a tool for data mining. Developed solution is able to reconstruct Facebook conversations between users, addition of new statuses and comments, and interception of sent files. Data mining module is able to obtain public information about tracked users, especially places they recently visited, past and upcoming events, public user details, albums and photos, friendlists and mutual friends with other users. As part of the bachelor thesis, data analysis, implementation of the application, validity testing and benchmark analysis have been performed.
Online Games Chat Reconstruction
Beran, Pavel ; Pluskal, Jan (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
We live in modern times. We are surrounded by many different forms of information technologies. We watch movies, surf on the internet, play videogames and overall do lots of action that leave a trace in the cyberworld. This thesis investigates the possibility of using(playing) videogames as a decoy for getting involved in criminal activities, specifically MMORPG games, different ways of capturing and reproducing player´s chat communication. It also introduces a way to implement chat reconstruction module into Netfox.framework and other ways of communication visualisation.
Design of DHW system for the football changing rooms
Pluskal, Jan ; Vendlová, Lucie (referee) ; Maurerová, Lenka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about creation of two variants of water distribution in football changing rooms. The best variant is the choice of these two variants and subsequently detailed dimensioning is created including water service pipe. The theoretical part describes hygienic problems with the proposed water pipeline.
