This thesis deals with the analysis of the information system software of the EKOFILTR spol. s r.o. company. The aim of the thesis is to propose certain steps and adjustments that would make the system more efficient and generally more user-friendly. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is devoted to description of terms and procedures that form the basis of the analysis of information system. Analysis itself is carried out in the next section. Here, identified system deficiencies are described as well as processes which led to their detection. The last part is then devoted to solving these problems through specific proposals.

The aim of the thesis is to automate the process of loading data from particular distributors, make data quality management more transparent - consolidate data from particular distributors - mainly in the area of products and points of sale (pharmacies), process existing reports in modern reporting tool, which enables the creation of new reports, including graphically processed territorial data (map reports), with the possibility of interactive viewing of detailed data.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of business processes and its automation. The starting point of the assignment is the result of the analysis of the current situation of the company VEEM Ltd. and the requirements of the company. The analysis focuses on the company’s processes, its competitors and internal resources. As a solution to the problem of non-optimal processes this thesis presents a part of the information system via an Internet interface and a special Web application. These enhancements provide competitive advantages for the company, attractiveness and transparency for the customers and the main purpose is simplification and speeding up work of the employees.

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the information system in the joint-stock company UNIKOM a.s. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter presents the theoretical background necessary to understand the concepts related to this topic in the field of information technology and information systems. This section also presents the analytical tools that were used to elaboration of analysis in the following section. The second chapter of this diploma thesis is focused on the company UNIKOM a.s. and analysis of its internal and external factors and assessment of the information system using selected methods. The output of the second chapter is information about problematic parts of the company and the IS. In the third part, the information obtained in the analysis section is used to create suggestions for improvement of the situation in the company.
