Verification of diagnostic device using NEWS methods

Within the framework of the project „Verification of diagnostic device using NEWS methods“ supported by SIC, several calibration tests of newly developed apparatus for non-destructive testing of materials by NEWS (Non-linear Elastic Wave Spectroscopy) methods were realized. The report summarizes the results of characteristics measuring for case of particular components of the device and the demonstration tests of defect detection in selected structure parts.

The System for Automatic Location of Impacts

The report deals with the automatic target system for on-line evaluation of shooting precision based on acoustic emission (AE) method, known from the field of non-destructive testing as an approach for location of material defects. Since the bullet stroke on a steel plate can be considered as an AE source, the method can be included in a target system consisting of impact plate, AE sensors and AE measuring system with implemented advanced location algorithms. Whole system can be sized and matched to specific customer needs. At the end of the report, the real demonstration of the system is shown.

THE PRINCIPLES OF ALTERNATIVE THEATRE IN THE
CONTEMPORARY PRAXIS OF PROFESSIONAL PUPPET
THEATRES IN EUROPE OUTSIDE OF EU

This thesis conserns the process of preparation of the performance ?The Jungle
Book?, based on the original contemporary adaptation of the stories by Rudiard
Kipling for childrens' puppet theatre. The curiosity of this process relies on
specific conditions in the post-yugoslav Balkan countries, more precisely in
Zagreb, Croatia, where the performance will be presented at the beginning of
2013.
In order to realise the project at the institutional theatre, it was neccesary to
apply for an international grant that supports cooperation projects with Balkan
countries. The questions of tolerance of differencies and inclusion of the underrepresented
social groups have become the key topics of the project.
On the basis of personal experience with specific prejudices of the Balkan folks
I've worked out the directing concept for the puppet theatre performance with the
elements of contemporary circus. In the atractive manner it introduces the
healthy social values to children 5 - 11 years old.
This thesis presents the reaction to the situation in the contemporary puppetry in
the Balkans, explains the process of creative decision making and reflects the
struggle for the financial support for the project.

Theatre Marketing

This thesis should not serve as a "how-to-do-it" marketing hadbook on theatre marketing. The aim of the thesis is to look behind the basic marketing tools towards the actual situation and development in techniques of marketing communication, in audience preferences trends and lifestyle changes. Thus it should help to better understand the changes that have occured in last years in the field of theatre marketing. It should also sum up the main marketing issues and issues of marketing communication.

Searching for the Principles of Inclusion of Self-Direction while Creating a Stage Role.

The author's purpose is to name the acting processes. She reflects upon the goals that actors should have before they start to work and how they can discover new levels of acting while working on their stage role. The author deals with the complex possessions of an actor and tries to define the term self-direction. She is convinced that the process of searching is never ending and necessary component of the dramatic work. She reflects on how the dramatic work looks like when the actors allow themselves to be surprised by their own selves and everything that is tied to the work on their stage role. Actor's independence is very important for the author of this thesis. To further explain these issues, the author uses her own experiences as an example. Experiences, that she gained while working on a performance called Kočka v pytli with the Dutch dancer and performer Frank van de Ven. The author documents her experiences by putting d own detailed description of the key dramatic exercises that she took with Frank van de Ven.

Music as the servant, partner and boss of puppetry performance

The work is a précis of general knowledge about the problem of stage music in the theatre and subsequent subjective view of the given problem with the accent on puppetry theatre. Authoress, on one side as a director on the other side as a theatre-goer, is trying, on the basis of acquired theoretical informations, to organize her own experience with using the stage music as a part of a sound component of the puppetry theatre. Work piece is the study of few musically interesting moments of the authoresses creative work history that is concerned especially in puppetry theatre and partly radio. Based on this chosen examples she is trying to deduce the rules that would be taken in consideration in her creative work as general. Subject of the work is not the sound component generally but stage music as its member. She examines its functions and roles during the creative process and result of the single staging too. She takes a think of concrete examples, when the stage music (so do whole sound component) is superior, secondary or equal to the other components (visual, actor´s...).
