This building is situated in the region Vysočina, the town Humpolec. It is a two-storey family house and it is projected for four people. The flower shop is designed as single-storey. The bulding is cellarless. The building plan uses the load-bearing vertical structure of sand-lime bricks SENDWIX. There is used the contact thermal insulation system ETICS, the mineral wool Rockwoll Fasrock LL is used as insulation. The horizontal structures are made from the tensioned ceiling panels Spiroll and a reinforced concrete slab. The family house is covered with a mono-layer flat roof and the flower shop is covered with a vegetation extensive roof.
Polyfunctional residential building in Slatina
Náprava, Lukáš ; Klubal, Tomáš (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design and evaluate a new multipurpose apartment building in Slatina. The object, which includes a parking lot, will be used for housing and recreational/sport purposes. The thesis also deals with basic evaluation of the object from the point of view of construction physics, fire safety and structural stability. The building is designed as a detached construction with graded floors. There is one ground floor and four elevated ones. The entire object is mirror-symmetrical on a transverse axis. The ground floor is designated to include a storage area of the apartment building, mechanical rooms and sanitary facilities of the fitness centre. The fitness centre itself is located on the first floor, along with a gym, administrative area and two special-purpose apartments. The remaining floors are intended for housing purposes. Wall construction system has been chosen for the object. The ground floor is based on a foundation plate made of watertight concrete („bílá vana“) while the supporting system is constituted by reinforced concrete walls. All ceiling constructions are constituted by monolithic plates made of reinforced concrete. Peripheral and inner supporting walls of the upper floors are lined with ceramic blocks HELUZ. Inner communication network consists of prefabricated reinforced concrete staircase and an elevator shaft. Roof construction consists of a flat DUO roof and a green roof.
Integration of phase change materials in building structures
Klubal, Tomáš ; Šťastník, Stanislav (referee) ; Solař,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the integration of phase change materials (PCMs) into building structures. The basic requirement is improved thermal stability during the summer season without using an air conditioner. This can be achieved by increasing the thermal storage capacity of the building structures. If the thermal capacity cannot be increased on the level of weight, phase change materials can be used. These materials are capable of storing latent heat and thus increasing the thermal storage capacity of the building. In the thesis the phase change materials were investigated in a thermal incubator by thermal analysis and, above all, in full-scale experiments using comparative measurements. The comparative measurements were carried out in two attic rooms at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology, where in one was used as a reference and the other for the experiment. Manufactured heat storage panels were installed in the experimental room. These panels are composed of a base plate; the capillary tubes placed on it are coated with modified plaster. The gypsum plaster is modified with micro-capsules paraffin for improving the thermal storage capacity. This system is connected to a thermal air-water pump, by which the storage panels can be additionally cooled or heated. In the experimental measurements, different operating modes were investigated and their effect on the indoor environment was evaluated. Thermal storage in PCMs dampens the temperature amplitude in the building during the summer season and, at the same time, allows the stored heat to be discharged during the night. Moreover, the time interval of withdrawing electric energy from the supply mains is much shorter than in the case of air conditioning. A conventional air conditioner must operate simultaneously with the thermal load, i.e. at the time of peak consumption of electric energy. Thanks to the set regimes, the installed system is capable of responding to external thermal condit
Renovation of municipality office
John, Josef ; Klubal, Tomáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the reconstruction of the Adamov municipality, based on a solution of barrier-free building use, overall improvement of the energy performance of the building and creation of new office spaces in the form of a loft. The object is located on a building site in the town Adamov. The object is currently connected to a III. road, parking space and utilities. It is a building with three above-ground floors and one basement floor. The ground plan of the municipality is rectangle-shaped, the maximum outline dimensions of the rectangle are 28.38 x 16.70m. Existing vertical supporting constructions are mason made of fired bricks. The roof frame structure is made of wood, construction framework stagnant stool, fired tiles are used as roofing. Floor surfaces are formed by ceramic tiles or vinyl. The entrance part is covered with a flat roof. The entrance area will be redesigned as a barrier-free, with a connection to the elevator that goes through the entire object. The sanitary facilities in the first and in the second floor will be renovated. Newly created attic floor will be – except for the lift - connected to the interior of the building by a new steel staircase and the walls on this floor will be of a light type. Holes fillings will be changed in the perimeter walls. A thermal insulation of the entire object by a contact heating system will take place. This thesis consists of preparatory work and studies, implementing documentation, text reports, calculations of the thermal technical assessment and fire safety solutions. Project documentation is made in accordance with currently valid laws, regulations and standards.
Passive apartment building
Čejka, Radek ; Klubal, Tomáš (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is the proposal and the preparation of project documentation for the construction of passive residential building on a plot number 1691/96 cadastral area of Černovice in a Brno city. The residential building will be built in a sloping terrain. It is a five-storey residential building with one floor below ground. The house has 16 residential units and is designed for a maximum of 40 people. Two of the units are designed as a wheelchair accessible. The skeletal staircase of a building is located outside the main building. The residential units are connected by porch. The porch is built from a steel skeleton and is standing outside the main building. At the south side of building is free standing steel construction used as balcony for residential units. Perimeter wall is made of sand-lime blocks which are insulated by graphite expanded polystyrene. Perimeter wall of basement is made of permanent formwork filled with concrete. The wall is also insulated with extruded polystyrene. The ceilings are made of prestressed concrete panels Spiroll. The supporting roof structure is made of wood trusses. The roof is pitched and the roof deck is designed vegetational. The building is ventilated using forced air handling unit. Heating and hot water is provided sources: pellet boiler and photothermic panels. The apartment house is designed with regard to energy saving as passive. Emphasis is placed on a compact building envelope, simplicity of shape, air tightness, low heat loss and high solar gain arising due the building orientation to the cardinal directions.
