Project "K3 " Drama Education at School

The diploma thesis Project" K3" Drama education at school : Analysis of the project with respect to using elements of drama education? explores the history, current content and future development potential of this educational project. The project aims to provide grammar and secondary schools in the region of Plzeň with a set of educational programs focused on development of creativity, cooperation and communication, as well as prevention of social pathological phenomena through techniques of drama education and constructivist pedagogy. The theoretical part summarizes terminological, legal and educational framework and provides the needed context for understanding the sources of the project. The practical part analyzes in detail the past development, current programmatic content with respect to elements of drama education, looks at the feedback from various agents, summarizes positive and negative aspects and projects possible future scenarios. The author has been a member of the small management team since the project inception and currently coordinates the project.
Linking the environmental education and drama at secondary grammar school

My graduation thesis aims to monitor possibilities of how to connect teaching of two subjects at secondary grammar schools ? drama and environmental education. First part of the theses is a theoretic excursus to history, goals, meanings and common principles of both subjects. The following empirical part describes and interprets results of a research conducted among secondary grammar school teachers, whereof my goal was to prospect opinions and experience of the teachers about connection of the two subjects. In the last part, I offer several lesson plans using methods of drama for the purpose of exploring of some environmental topics. I have tested these lesson plans with secondary grammar school students and therefore I often show the reflection, give suggestions for improving and quote the students? work.
Three Meetings with Literature

The core of this work is the analysis and evalutaion of the drama methods which were used in three all-day workshops based on three different types of work with a piece of literature and performed with the group of secondary school students with little or no experience in drama education. Independent chapters deal with two essential determiners of such kinds of drama activities, first with the characteristics of the group that took part in the workshops and second with the choice and analysis of the applied literary texts. The work also contains a summary of the conclusions which have arisen from the practical part of the bachelor project, represented here with the thorough layouts of the lessons, and a reflection of the main goal, to motivate the students to read the particular works of literature.
The Bylinas and Drama Education

A group of children from a drama course in Benešov u Prahy gets acquainted with the Russian language and its types, with a part of Slavonic mythology and the life of old western Slavonians by means of the ancient Russian bylinas. The children also get to know the basic characters of the Russian mythic hero´s bravery and they compare them with what we call bravery these days. The included activities motivate the pupils for the work on a theatre performance.
Specifics of drama work with the heterogenous group at the elementary school

The thesis deals with a variety of possible ways of work in drama and searching for themes in age heterogenous groups. It is also focused on particularities in individual developmental stages of pupilage, on children's needs and their interests. Advantages and disadvantages of the work with age heterogenous groups are also discussed. At the end of the thesis we can find samples of different drama lessons for age heterogenous groups.
Dramatic education as an interest and aesthetic activity in the Orphanage and School in Slaný

This work deals with the use of drama education in the institution for mandatory inpatient education or compulsory treatment of school age children, that is Children´s home with school in Slaný. The drama education is used as an activity belonging to special-interest aesthetic activities here. Its goal is to cultivate the children in the sphere of drama, personality and society.
Cooperation in dramatic education

This thesis deals with the issue of cooperation in drama education. The theoretical section presents characteristics of cooperation as well as of the conditions necessary for its efficiency, principles, methods and techniques of cooperative learning, cooperative skills and conduct in cooperative education. Its final part deals with the context of drama education and role playing. The research section is focused on analysis of individual drama education workshops and description of cooperation expressed within the given group of children. The research is based on twelve conducted workshops as well as the group realization of a children?s drama entitled The Beauty and the Beast.
The Comparation of Groops of Different type based on The Czech Fairytale "Smolíček"

This bachelor´s work treats of comparison of two different ways of educational process aimed at dramatical form with two different groups of children on the same literary base. First part of this bachelor´s work treats of dramatic-educational project in the Special School in Česká Lípa. The second part of this work describes dramatic-educational project which is extended with creative workshops for young spectators from Primary school and Preeschool "Klíč" in Česká Lípa. In the third part, there is a comparison of works in both projects with looking for specifications and common signs and with the survey of complete project.
Working with picture book. Drama-in-education project aimed at an international group of younger children from the 2nd class at the British International School of Prague

This thesis describes a project aimed at an international group of younger children. The project took place at the British International School of Prague and was led in English. The project was based mainly on Quentin Blake?s book The Clown and its main aim was to develop children?s imagination and communicative skills. From a personal and social development aspect it looked at the subject of helping each other.
DRAMA AS A TEACHING SUBJECT AT THE SECOND LEVEL OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

The thesis is meant for those interested in teaching drama in education, for students and teachers, as well as for headmasters. It deals with problematic of drama in education at the second level of elementary schools. Its objectives were to map the situation at elementary schools at the city of Brno, to specify factors that prevent or enable, in practice, successful use of drama in education in educational process at the second level of elementary schools, and also to seek possibilities for increasing utilization of drama in education?s potential at the second level of elementary schools. The author uses as the starting point her research carried on at the city of Brno?s elementary schools. Data acquired from 83 schools are summarized and presented in tables. Besides this numerical outcome, the author records teachers? and headmasters? experience with drama in education as a separate subject at the second level of elementary school as well as with introduction of drama in education into schools. In addition to the overview of factors that influence success of implementation of drama in education, the thesis proposes, in its final part, a generic plan for incorporating drama in education into the elementary school?s life. The author utilized both information acquired by research and her own experience as source for construction of the plan.
