A DANCER’S PERSONAL REFLECTION OF OHAD NAHARIN’S PERFORMANCE

The aim of this thesis titled A Dancer‘s Personal Reflection of Ohad Naharin’s performance is to expose the choreography Decadance trough the eyes of an interpreut. Within the thesis the choreographer Ohad Naharin and his movement language – Gaga are introduced. Furthermore, I add my personal experience which I gained while preparing for the performance of „Ohad Naharin: Decadance“ with National Theater Prague. I view the the informations from the perspective of dancer and I draw conclusions from the perspective of future educator.
Fusion of dance styles

This bachelor thesis points out the new arising trend, that is a fusion of dance styles and techniques. Based on the researching of mutual principles and teaching practice of two selected professional dance teachers, it is described the process of fusing and its influence on the area of dance teaching. The context is completed with reflection of this actual trend, which is absolutely inherent way of the next development on the field of dance. This work is creating an introduction for further studing and analysing principle, which could become milestone in the dance and dance pedagogy evolution.
Hip hop as a dance style and its application in a stage choreography

My Diploma Thesis deals with a hip hop as a dance style called also hip hop dance. First, I briefly described hip hop as a culture in general and then paid closer attention to the one of the most important section the dance itself. I described formation and gradual advancement of the hip hop dance, I characterized the way of movements in this style and I dealt with its classification and categorization. I tried to find a way which hip hop dance has undergone from the street, where it was created, into the dance schools and studios and finally into the theatre stages. I was searching for the theatre hip-hop dance performances, which have been fortunate to be spread all over Europe and I have picked one of them for the detail analysis. Last but not least, the part of my Diploma Thesis is a survey in a form of questionnaire trying to find out opinion of the current dance community in a question of hip-hop dance style and its application in a stage choreography and all in all in a theatre environment.
DEVELOPMENT AND PROFILING OF THE LATERNA MAGICA COMPANY

This thesis deals with the historical development of Laterna magica and focouses on the highlights of its operation through the years until 2009. It also provides information about establishment of dance group for its members, choreographers and ballet masters. Furthemore, if deals major titles and awards that have been gained throught the history of Laterna magica, and introduces the choreographer, dancer and teacher Jean-Pierre Aviotte as an important figure in the development of the dance company.
The body in space, the space in the body

The Master's thesis includes drawing up the issue of the body and space in dance. The introductory part contains the definition of the body as a living organism. The body of the thesis is devided in chapters dealing with the body layers, gravity, balance and imagination. The final part of the thesis connects all phenomenons mentioned in previous chapters. This part results in a description of the images and sensations during the classical ballet training.
Kamailio and OpenSIPs open source PBX

Open source PBX Kamailio and OpenSIPS diploma thesis covers familiarization with appointed SIP exchanges and with their power comparing. A detailed installation instructions on the operating system Ubuntu is the aim of this work too. The work includes the historical development of telephone exchanges with a focus on the latest generation. The following is SIP protocol basic description and components that can be composed SIP exchanges. Another part is devoted to the development of exchanges Kamailio and OpenSIPS. The thesis contain the archutecture and configuration file description. The practical part of the thesis deals with high-capacity switches, and comparing it in terms of memory and computational demands. Selected measurements are compared with the Asterisk PBX.
The applicability of marketing trends and its exemplification on the phenomenon of twerk

The theoretical part of this thesis describes marketing in the field of culture, particularly dance, and it defines today's Internet world. It focuses on the tools and the most important aspects of current marketing practices. It also defines the dance 'twerk' examining its history, present and also the reasons why it became an international sensation. The practical part is then devoted to a detailed analysis of three subjects - dancer Aneta Antošová, STAGE Prague dance studio and Ballet of the National Theatre Brno. By a comparison of quantitative data of the 'before and after twerk marketing' period the thesis is trying to evaluate the applicability and success of this marketing decision. Qualitative expert interviews with big names of Czech dance and marketing fields are accompanying the analysis.
Public Subsidies to Emerging Theatre Venues in Prague

In the first part of the thesis, the present state of the Prague theatre network is introduced and the preconditions and possibilities of its further development are discussed. The introduction is followed by the analysis of the funding of the Prague theatres and cultural policy focusing on the system of subsidies and grants, transformation of the theatre network and other means of support. In the second part of the thesis, a thorough analysis of the six theatre venues that have emerged in the last six years, namely Studio Hrdinů, Company.cz in Divadlo Komedie, Venuše ve Švehlovce, Vila Štvanice, Jatka 78 and Panoptikon Barikáda, is provided. The analysis focuses on various factors influencing the venues: their location, relationship with the lawful owner of the property, legal form, their relationship with the audience, and last but not least the way they are funded. In the conclusion, the comparison of the situation of the six venues is provided.
Analysis of management of the dance internship Dance Without Limits

This thesis focuses on issues related to the organization of cultural projects. The first part is devoted to definitions of project and internship and the specifics of cultural project. The following theoretical point describes the project staffing, strategic planning, marketing, financing and important phases of projects. The management of internship Dance without limits is analyzed in detail in practical part, which is completed with practical knowledge of the organization of this event. This analysis is based not only on information provided by the organizers of this internship, but also from the questionnaire and the author's personal experience from preparing this dance internship. Part of this thesis is also an evaluation of the management of Dance without limits and suggesting possible improvements for the future.
Eating Disorders in Dance Environment

The doctoral thesis ?Eating Disorders in Dance Environment?treats of specific factors that act in dance environment and increase the risk of eating disorders among dancers. Information for this thesis was obtained not only from specialized references but even form a survey made among dancers and teachers. The target of this thesis is to describe the risk factors in dance environment and to suggest an optimization of the current situation. The outcomes of this thesis are two texts dedicated to dance teachers. Teachers were found to be the factor, which increases the risk of eating disorders among dancers the most of all other factors. The first text describes how to recognize an eating disorder at student and how to act in this situation. The second text shows to teachers, what they can do to reduce the risk of developing even more cases of eating disorders among dancers.
