The theoretical part is focusing on issue of public orders, preparation and planning orders and finally on their financing support. Practical part of dissertation is described specific public order, for which they are created variants of financing plans.
Efficiency and risk assessment of investment projects

This diploma thesis deals with the efficiency and risk assessment of investment projects. The thesis is conceived in two parts, the theoretical part, which deals with the theoretical understanding of the issue, and the practical part, which applies the findings to a case study. This case study includes a comprehensive risk analysis and economic efficiency assessment. To achieve the objectives, the thesis uses methods such as Monte Carlo simulation and risk matrix to quantify the risk factors. Attention is also given to economic efficiency indicators such as net present value, internal rate of return and return on investment. The thesis also includes the calculation of switching values of critical risk factors, which provides further understanding and insight in project risk management.
Financial Plan and Economic Evaluation of Investment Realized by Private Investor

The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on key parts of the business plan, especially the financial plan and evaluation of effectiveness of investments. In the practical part, I developed a business plan for the project AZ Tower in Brno. I focused mainly on the development of the financial plan with the associated economic analysis and in the end I focused on appreciation of capital invested.

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of economic efficiency and the financial feasibility of the project realised by the municipality. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical background chapter, the author introduces the topic of the public sector and the public investment project. Furthermore, this thesis discusses methods which are used for evaluation of economic efficiency of the public projects and also their financing. The second part deals with the case study of the parking house project in Litomyšl. The author uses knowledge from the theoretical part to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and possible sources of financing.
Evaluation of Economic Efficiency of Development Project

The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic efficiency of a development project for the construction of an apartment building in Brno. The first part presents the development activities from a theoretical point of view, which is mainly a description of the life cycle of the project, the creation of cash flows and consideration of possible ways of financing. The second part of the work is devoted to determining the income and expenditure of a particular property development project. The aim of the work is to determine the cash flows of the project in its life cycle, quantify the indicators of economic efficiency and assess the overall profitability of the project for the investor (developer).

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness and risks of an investment project. The first part of the thesis consists of theoretical evaluation on the effectiveness and risks of public investment projects – in particular it aids to explain the basic concepts the methods of evaluating the economic efficiency of investments, cost-benefit analysis of road construction projects and investment risk. The second part of the thesis consists of a case study, which is focused on sensitivity analysis and quantitative risk analysis for a specific project.
The Impact of Uncertainty of Project Models on Investment Decision Making

This doctoral thesis widely analyses the process of investment decision-making. In its individual parts, it researches models used for planning, analysing and evaluation of investments projects, but also models used for final decision about realization of the investment. Investing activity is present in world economic cycle in all it’s phases. Capital sources used for financing if the investment projects are scarce and must be handled with care. For this reason, there are many supportive methodologies and models employed in managing of the investments as well as instruments developed to miti-gate the potential project risks. However, even utilization of these instruments and models can’t guarantee the expected results. There are uncertainties, errors and in-accuracies in the process that can thwart investment decisions. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the investment decision-making process (from the initial idea to the realization of the investment project) and to identify the main un-certainties – factors influencing the success / error rate of models for investment project planning as well as the decision on their realization. The main outcome of the thesis is an overview of these factors and recommenda-tions on how to work with these factors and make the process as effective as possi-ble. Another output is an analysis and recommendations for the use of financing sources and mix of the instruments that should be used to mitigate the potential impact of risks that are connected to all investment projects.

Technical and economic assessment of projects of wastewater treatment plants and their impact on the environment

The doctoral thesis deals with the issue of evaluating of technical-economic efficiency of wastewater treatment plant projects. Same as most public benefit projects, the main reason for implementation is the societal benefit of the company, not the impact on the investor. The literature review provides an overview of the most commonly used methods of environmental impact assessment, which differ in both the difficulty of processing and in the structure of input and output information. In accordance with the European legislation, the Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) is applied to a selected sample of waste water treatment plants, in its economic part, the standardly assessed societal impacts are extended by other possible benefits associated with the implementation of the project implementation. The main output of the thesis is the quantification of the increment to the societal benefit of the project, which is set to the difference between the economic net present value of the investment and the standard and individually designed socio-economic impacts. As an alternative to the traditional approach, the thesis also simulates the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), method is based on multi-criteria evaluation shows the technical efficiency of the sewage treatment plant sample and thus serves as a very effective tool in managerial decision-making.
Business Intention of Construction Company focused on Timber Constructions

The thesis includes business intention of construction company in the form of a feasibility study. Planned company deals with the realization of timber-framed buildings that are built by hand directly on the construction site. The introductory part describes basic knowledge of the investment projects planning. One subchapter shortly describes the timber construction system. Parts of the business intention are oriented on corporate strategy, marketing, production technology, manpower, economic a financial analysis and risk management. In conclusion is an overall assessment of the project feasibility.
