Reuse of treated wastewater in paper and textile industry
Matysíková, Jana ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with Advanced oxidation processes (AOP) and its aplication for textile wastewaters treatment and reuse. AOP is a modern technology which currently recieves increased attention due to it´s high efficiency in removing resistant and hardly-degradable pollution. Thesis consists of search and practical part. Search part is created by three chapters. First chapter describe briefly wastewater reuse. The second chapter deals with Advanced oxidation processes. AOP principle, AOP division and descriotion is included with the strong focus on the ozonation technology. The third chapter presents the textile industry and its wastewaters. The practical part of this thesis consists of two chapters. Chapter 5 describes testing of textile wastewaters decoloration by ozonation in the selected textile copany and its results. This results are used in chapter 6. Chapter 6 is the study of textile industry treatment and reuse in the selected textile company. This study contains the design of two options for wastewater treatment and reuse in the textile processes.
Aeration at WWTP´s.
Ondráček, Martin ; Sousedík, Milan (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The work is focused on aeration to the WWTP. It prepared an overview of processes and technologies, particularly with respect to new types of mobile devices aeration. The results are applied to a specific location.
Problems of aeration dimensioning at WWTP´s.
Šplíchal, David ; Sousedík, Milan (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this work is to compare aeration systems of primarily mechanical and pneumatic aeration, as well as to compare various manufacturers of aeration components in terms of their advantages, positioning in aeration tanks, operation, use, efficiency and energy requirements. The second part is a description of the waste water treatment plant in the town of Česká Třebová and the development of an alternative calculation for the biological part with circulation activation, a circular sedimentation tank and a design for an aeration system in the aeration tank.
Use of small dimensions sewerage for transport of wastewater from settlements up to 500 PE.
Žáček, Jan ; Kubík,, Jiří (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis presents methods of conveying wastewater in Czech Republic. Focusing both on traditional ways of removing wastewater, as well as alternative. The main goal is description of functioning of individual parts, design principles, construction, operation and maintance of small diameter gravity sewerage system, which would provide new solution of draining sewage for municipalities up to 500 PT. The design is demonstrated in local part of city Zlín – Chlum. The thesis also contains indicative financial comparison of two sewerage systems – conventional and small diameter gravity sewerage system.
Use of combination of bacteria and algae for wastewater treatment
Hlavsová, Barbora ; Stříteský, Lubomír (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce the reader to the ever improving methods of biological wastewater treatment with the use of bacteria, algae and combination of both. Further it elaborates on the promising ways of utilizing biomass gained from these treatments in various sectors, such as energetics, chemistry, pharmacy and agriculture. The second part of the thesis offers a techno-economic study of wastewater treatment using combination of bacteria and algae in a specifically assigned area.
Use of heat from wastewater
Tlašek, Miroslav ; Vachovec, Roman (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problems associated with heat recovery from waste water and energy intensity of wastewater treatment plants. Current technologies allow you to recover heat that was inserted into the hot water. These technologies can be used for small performances in houses and for large building amenities too. It has been shown that by using a heat pump, low-potential heat waste water can be converted into useful heat for heating and hot water. Not only these heat pumps are environmentally friendly environments, but they can also compete with traditional sources of heat. The aim of the study was to describe these technologies and to minimize the energy that is wasted us „will drain into the canal“.
Domestic WWTP without source of energy
Ben Hamad, Alexander ; Sousedík, Milan (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with domestic wastewater treatment without source of energy (WWTP) and their principle of working. First chapter describes research, which is aimed on actual know edge of mechanic-biological WWTP. Second chapter is presented by various technologies of WWTP without energy sources. In the end of this thesis will be chosen one of presented technologies which will be applied on the guest-house in village named Lovčičky.
Optimization of stormwater tank operation
Čížová, Veronika ; Kubík, Jiří (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with stormwater tanks on sewer system. Grounds for the stormwater tanks are mentioned there. Also types, functions, possible locations and recommendations for selection from the types are mentioned. Ways of sizing the tanks are described. The tank equipment, construction and cleaning of the tanks are noted. Text contains description of a case study. The case study deals with testing innovative technologies for local treatment of combined sewage in stormwater tanks. Part of this work is to explore the state of specific sewer system. The purpose of this is to optimize the stormwater tanks operation.
Optimization of Combined Sewer Overflow at combined sewerage network
Pipa, Jan ; Ing. Vladimír Oppelt. (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This study discusses the design of sewer overflow chambers in a combined sewerage system. In the first part of this thesis, I investigate the utility of sewer overflow chambers in relation to the protection of the recipient. In the second half, I present a case study in the modelling of an sewer overflow chamber in a sewer network at a concrete location.
Energy Optimization of WWTP
Frank, Ivo ; Sousedík, Milan (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
Objectives of this bachelor thesis are to offer a brief tutorial on how to proceed with the energy audit of the wasterwater treatment plant and offer energy-efficient and economical alternatives to the technologies and equipment currently used for mechanical and biological wastewater treatment processes. Chapter with practical part of the thesis deals with possible applications of retreived knowledge on to operations of WWTP Mikulov in order to optimize its energy efficiency.
