The diploma thesis focuses on measuring the pilot´s stress during real flights. The general methodology is established. This methodology should be followed when measuring stress. This methodology is applied on students and pilots during a real flight. Results show that with the gradual data collection, this methodology could contribute to the long-term goal of setting the tolerable level of stress and help streamline flight training.

The main object of this bachelor thesis is a comprehensive review of jet engines. The thesis briefly explains the broad issue of gas turbines in terms of their operation and various advantages and disadvantages. Then it presents particular application areas. At the beginning it notes the history and introduction of jet engines to the significant field of aviation. The main part focuses also on the current manufacturing of individual types of engines with technical data. In the last section there are classified provisional steps which could affect or improve some parameters. In the end of the bachelor thesis trends and developments are suggested.

The diploma thesis deals with factors that directly or indirectly affect the operation of the airport. The thesis contains theoretical notes of influencing factors, a list of aircraft and their characteristics, including mutual comparison in graphs. The next part focuses on the airport itself, where it tries to identify the factors that affect its operation, including historical events. The next part focuses on the selection of airports in Central Europe, determining the appropriate performance characteristics, which are then compared and evaluated.
