SEIDL, Miroslav
Currently every day a great number of traffic accidents happens in our roads. Some accidents are followed by very serious injuries, which must be treated quickly and right. Recently many motorcyclists have been in this group of the seriously wounded and this number is still increasing. At the scene of the accident paramedics shall give the right and fast first aid mostly to a young person and they often decide on his/her life, eventually on its next quality. Paramedics must it be able to take off a protective helmet in the right way, stabilize patient´s essential vital functions and diagnose eventual shock or polytrauma. However not all the injuries can be diagnosed by paramedics with the available equipment at the scene of the accident. A good result is guaranteed in the increasing tendency of this accident rate first of all with paramedics continuous training at this specific problems. The aim of the bachelor thesis is an analysis of pre-hospital urgent care of injured motorcyclists at traffic accidents and set standard for treatment of these casualties by paramedics. The sample of respondents is represented by staff members of Health Rescue Service of South Bohemian Region and staff members of the Traumatological department of the Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. The data collection was performed by the methods of questioning, guided conversation and secondary data analysis. The research was performed in March 2010. Pursuant to the performed research the following hypotheses have been determined and the standard for treatment of an injured motorcyclist by paramedics has been created. Hypothesis 1: Paramedics use immobilizing tools in case of an injured motorcyclist in the right way. Hypothesis 2: Paramedics cannot take off the protective helmet in case of an injured motorcyclist in the right way.
Psychosocial counselling for the participants of traffic accidents in České Budějovice
UHŘÍČEK, Jan
This dissertation focuses on the field of psychosocial counselling intended for the people involved in traffic accidents. Traffic accidents often result in considerable whole-society damages and significant reduction in the life quality of affected individuals or their relatives. Traffic accidents may often represent nerve-racking, traumatic events which significantly go beyond the scope of common human experience. People involved in traffic accidents may suffer from mental problems which might impair an area of their social functioning. As a result, traffic accidents have significant impact not only to the lives of persons directly involved, but also to their relatives. Victims´ self-help may fail and, without the expert intervention, may lead to the whole-life misery. One of possible ways of how to help the people involved in the traffic accident is the psychosocial counselling which is the subject of this dissertation. This thesis, among others, aims to analyse the offer of psychosocial consulting services intended for traffic accident participants in the town of České Budějovice. To this end, the combination of qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, questionnaire survey of experts and organizations and semi-standardized interviews with experts operating in České Budějovice were carried out. Other goals of the thesis included mapping of public awareness concerning the possible utilization of psychosocial counselling for traffic accident participants in České Budějovice, as well as, mapping the interest in using such services on the public{\crq}s part in this town. A public questionnaire survey was performed to reach these objectives. The findings revealed that there is a public demand for services of an organization providing the people involved in traffic accidents with psychosocial counselling. The public awareness of the possibility of using psychosocial counselling in this area, however, proved to be low in České Budějovice. The survey has also shown that the offer of psychosocial counselling focused on traffic accident participants does exist in this town. The dissertation may contribute to higher awareness of not only the professional employees who provide the assistance (psychologists, social workers, non-profit organization employees, physicians, police officers, fire fighters), students of humanities and volunteers involved in giving psychosocial assistance to the victims of disasters, but also of those people involved in traffic accidents whom anyone of us may become.

ŠVARC, Petr
This thesis is concentrated on the research of recent state of the czech highways. The main aim of this work is to find out the reason of mistaken behaviour of the drivers in traffic. During analyzing further details I concerned myself on four basic factors: the influence of the environment, the influence of the car, what the man does while he is driving and the influence of the man himself on his operating. This work also includes the research of the driver as an individua together with external environment which affects him during the journey. The analysis of the influence of each factor was marked out as a field research on the way with the driver whereas were emphasised his transgressions, his sanity and the influence of the environment on himself. Especially monitoring which leaded to the observation of activities of the man in following aspects: respecting the speed limit, the traffic signs and other highway codes, mental condition of the driver in critical situations. Also the influence of the environment on the man was an important point in this work. Were chosen three segments which negatively affects the man ? the driver and there were proposed solutions to reduce them. The influence of the driver himself was characterized in following part. The analytic part summarizes obtained information from measuring and from the observation which are specified in the experimental part. In final part of this work are emphased any recommendations for fractional parts of the traffic which should lead to the improvement of the system thereby to the improvement of the recent state of this issue.

An accident is not an accident
FRÖSTLOVÁ, Gabriela
The present bachelor thesis, entitled ``Accident is not Incident{\crqq}, focuses on traffic accidents. The said theme represents a hotly debated issue. Every day, newspapers and other media inform us of accidents that occur on roads. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of traffic accidents, together with their causes, risk factors, and consequences; the last chapter discusses the prevention of traffic accidents. Accordingly, the practical part analyzes a research that was aimed at randomly selected drivers. The objective of the present thesis is twofold. First, the thesis attempts to map the driver{\crq}s behavior in the districts of České Budějovice and Český Krumlov. Second, its aim is to ascertain to what extent tiredness influences drivers. The practical part utilizes two techniques to examine the given hypotheses: the secondary analysis of statistic data and questionnaire research. The basic analyzed group consisted of 132 respondents, i.e. randomly selected drivers from the districts of České Budějovice and Český Krumlov. Hypothesis No. 1 asserting that drivers under 25 years of age cause more traffic accidents than drivers aged over 25 has been refuted on the basis of the research. Hypothesis No. 2 claiming that the driver{\crq}s tiredness increases a risk of traffic accident has been confirmed by the research. Respondents{\crq} tiredness most often led to the decrease in their attentiveness. The research verified that inattentiveness on the part of drivers is the most common cause of traffic accidents. In conclusion, I am of the opinion that safety driving courses should be made more accessible for drivers. The present thesis could be utilized as educational material at basic or secondary schools or for trainee drivers.
Behaviour of Drivers on the Roads and Efficiency of Preventative Actions Focused on Traffic Participants.
VEČLOVÁ, Jana
The bachelor thesis is focused on troubled behaviour on the roads, or behaviour of drivers on the roads. In the theoretical part, drivers´ behaviour and most frequent offenses are described, as well as other road users. Traffic accidents and their most frequent causes, proved by the statistics of Police of the Czech Republic, are also mentioned in this part. Last but not least, there are the chapters devoted to accidents and inappropriate behaviour prevention. The traffic preventive actions are designated not only for drivers, but also for children, who are road users as well and, sadly, frequent participants in traffic accidents. Thus, in the last chapter I focus on description of traffic education from the perspective of an elementary school experience. In the practical part I asked drivers both about the traffic preventive actions and the traffic situation on the roads from their subjective point of view. To be more specific, I asked about what influences their attention, the way they perceive current situation and whether they would like to change anything or not.
The Prevention of Road Traffic Accidents in Terms of Transport Engineering.
ONDRUŠKA, Jiří
At present the participant of the traffic is each of us and nearly for the whole lifetime. The effort of all organizations concerned about the road traffic safety is above all to decrease the number of accidents and its consequences. Up to date trend of the society is to focus more on the precausions to prevent the occurence of accidents than only on the repressive sanctions of the participants who break the rules. On one hand, the precausion consists of various meetings, lectures and trainings from small participants of the road traffic to so called professional drivers. On the other hand, the set of various arrangements directly on the roads has begun to have the great importance and its aim is by the construction activities or by the change of road signs settings or traffic facilities settings to decrease the real consequences of the accidents and to increase the safety of individual participants of the road traffic. The aim of this work is to find out the real stage of the road traffic safety, fluency and the consequences of accidents with regards to the data from past years, to find insecure places and suggest optimal way of modification.
