Rationalization of the production line

This masters thesis optimises production of the step plates (which are parts of the sliding steps systems used in tramways, subways, hi-speed trains etc.) to increase the production rate to meet customers demand. The purpose of the work was reached by detailed analysis of the production process followed by evaluation of the results which led to the list of the possible solutions. The solution with the greatest time improvement was chosen and explained in detail.

This work deals with a scheme of the reconstruction of the spindle church staircase. Based on the precise 3D staircase model, its designs and calculations were created. At the same time a new staircase was designed with its 3D model which is incorporated in the staircase space without any interference into the perimeter walls. These calculations have been introduced to the parish as two possible solutions of the reconstruction and the new functionality of the staircase. In my work a new staircase typology is depicted including some technical demands for a railing. Some previously used joints are depicted as well, including surface finishing and gluing. All this information was found based some examinations of the preserved staircases and searches in literature. They led me to a compilation of the metodies for restoration of similar constructions.

Konstrukce smíšenočarého schodiště s dřevěnými stupnicemi

This thesis is focused on designing and producting hybridlinear staircase with wooden scalesteps in a concrete stairwell space of timbered building. It was created structural solution, 3D design, pricing including breakdown of used materials. Documentation was submitted to investor for approval. The staircase is designed in a wooden construction with stailness steel columns and railings. Thesis also describes different types of staircases, their shapes, technical designs and used materials. In terms of surface treatment and bonding are described suitable paints and glues specifically for staircases.
