Sonnenfels´ weekly magazine analysis in a wider interpretative criterion. Theresie und Eleonore

After the bachelor thesis The Sonnenfels´ weekly moral women´s magazine Theresie und Eleonore, the diploma thesis Woman and women culture in moral magazine Theresie und Eleonore represents another result of the Sonnenfels?s weekly magazine analysis in a wider interpretative criterion. Theresie und Eleonore. The object of this thesis is not only the classification of this magazine into the European context, but mainly the construction of a model of Sonnenfels?s vision of a woman and her culture. In the first part, the development of European moral magazines together with the classification of Theresie und Eleonore among moral magazines for women are briefly described. Another part analyses particular editions and the features that determine the affiliation of Theresie und Eleonore with its genre. The central part focuses on Sonnenfels?s modeling of woman, therefore on the different types of women and moral models, which he created in his own weekly magazine. An important element of the central part is Sonnenfels?s creation of an artificial women culture.
The Representation of Women in Irish Short Stories/Reprezentace žen v irské povídce

The aim of this bachelor thesis will be an analysis of the representation of Irish women in short stories. Both male and female Irish authors whose main protagonist is a woman are to be examined. Also included in the mix are Protestant and Catholic authors. The traditional role of women in Irish society as depicted in these stories (both in rural and metropolitan settings) will be scrutinized.
Analysis of the influences on the Czech book market and its future prospects

The thesis Analysis of the influences on the Czech book market and its future prospects discuses the nowaday status of books in society, its possible causes and effects, and also tries to suggest possible solutions. The first part focuses on the influence of literary culture on society and its benefits, the primary theme is literacy and its development in the Czech Republic. Further there is an analysis of the influences that may impact the status of books in our culture. There are also described possible alternatives and potential remedies to stimulate readership in the community. The thesis ends with an analysis of the current state of the book market in the Czech Republic and the possible options how to improve this situation.
Cooperation ability development of younger-school-age children with the use of selected publications through art techniques

This thesis is focused on cooperation of younger school age children and on possibilities of its development with the use of literary subject and creative activity. Theoretical part defines the specifics of younger school age children and the physical and mental development of a child. It defines phenomenon of cooperation, the teacher?s role in cooperative education, learning environment, cooperative play and possibilities of cooperation in arts. It describes the importance and specificity of literature for children; it defines the relationship of children to books at present time. It also focuses on fairy tales and their importance for small readers. The thesis characterizes the creative education of children, its importance and interconnection with literature. It describes some art techniques, which are suitable for working with younger school age children. The practical part is focused on creative expression of younger school age children and on their cooperation within the creative activity. The activity with children has been done in after-school club. All the activities have been motivated with books by famous Czech writers.
Motif of Death in Prose of Jaroslav Durych

The following academic work is aimed on the reception of images of death in prose of Jaroslava Durycha in relation poeticses and chosen genre. It will be considered binding on expressionism, baroque idea in the world between the wars, the social novel of inspiration, or Catholic novel end of the 19th century.The work is based mainly on theoretic findings, with which it works onward and shows some practical examples to them, chosen through the punctual analysis of the Durychs texts. The goal of this work is to capture and describe the wide spectrum of various motifs of death in his texts. Of course, the reader will be acquainted with more general information about the texts.
Regional Literature as a Source of Cultural Identity; Regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko

Regional literature is an integral part of literary productions and one of the most signifiant elements of intangible culture. The diploma thesis "Regional Literature as a Source of Cultural Identity; Regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko" is trying to realize meaning and a function of this specific type of literature, whose main principle is a close relation to a particular territory. The main aim is to map the appearence of regional literature within a specific region. For these purposes are choosen regions Domažlicko and Náchodsko, in which regional literature has a long and strong tradition. At the same time is puting emphasis on the activity of libraries and regional publishers as subjects which have significantly contributed to the spread and preservation of regional literature. At the end the obtained results are summarized and on the basis these results is possible to draw general conclusions about the present position and functions of regional literature.

The Work of Josef Váchal in the Context of Czech Literature and Culture of 1st half of 20th Century.

Bachelor thesis deals with monitoring developments Váchal reflection of contemporary social and cultural contexts of early twentieth century, especially the twenties and thirties. Based on the analysis Váchal´s diary entries and relevant professional sources to try to reconstruct Váchal perception of contemporary artistic currents and historical contexts. Concentrates on monitoring reference to the artistic avant-garde in the twenties and thirties in Bohemia. Bachelor thesis tries to find signs, interpretation and resonance, referring to the description Váchal´s works of any common features and similarities with the Czech avant-garde.
Fantasy - Theory of the Genre and its Educative Aspects

This diploma thesis deals with fantasy literature in both, national and international contexts, as well as with its didactical possessions. Its aim is to prove that this genre has, apart from its history and a recognized place in the domain of literature, a cognitive value to enhance the readers in terms of aesthetics, knowledge, experience and emotions. A second aim of the thesis is to describe the position of fantasy in so-called ``speculative fiction{\crq}q. The first part of the work allows its readers to understand the term ``Fantasy``. It also provides them with history of the genre and its nowadays´ subdivision. In the subsequent chapters the fantasy is presented as a genre able to adapt to fields not necessarily linked to contemporary literature, such as source of knowledge and understanding in lives of young people. A more detailed approach to the Czech form of the genre is also provided with emphasis to common and opposite aspects of it in comparison with the world fantasy (mostly Anglo-American). The didactical potential is underlined in appropriate paragraphs. The 4th and 6thchapters are then fully dedicated to the didactical potential. The last chapter presents results of research work focused on fantasy.
Long Way from Alien Civilizations to Elvis: Genre Divergence in Czech Fantasy after 1989

In this bachelor{\crq}s work I deal with the origin and development of fantasy literature in Czech environment with paying regard to the worldwide context. In the first part I define the terms fantastika, horror, science fiction and fantasy along with the basic stereotypes that occur within fantasy literature. Next I concentrate on a brief outline of history of world fantasy as well as the history of fantasy in the context of Czech literature. In the second part I suggest definitions of individual fantasy subgenres that appeared in our country after 1989 and I deal with their origin and development in Czech literature and world literature. There is also an analysis and comparison of chosen works of contemporary Czech authors.
