Activities of the Department of literature (Bureau du livre) of French Institute in Prague

The aim of this thesis is to present the French Institute in Prague and to provide as complete an overview of activities of the Book Department, for whom the actions are intended, what is their purpose and method of promotion. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part introduces the history of the French Institute since the twenties of the 20th century, when there was the greatest expansion, until today. The second part of the thesis devotes directly with the Book Department, which is introduced with a brief history. There is mentioned the library that falls under the Department and processed events which the Department participates or is organized in collaboration with the Institute. For each of the events is processed their history, mission and the period when they were held, including details about the program from 2010 to the present. In the end of thesis is a summary of the contribution of the Book Department to spread French culture in the Czech Republic.

The History of Physical Education and Sport in Pelhřimov

Bachelor work looks into history of personal exercise and sport in Pelhřimov from the establishment of the first sport club until now. The work is dividend into five parts. The first part is devoted to Pelhřimov and its brief history. The second part deals with activity of sport clubs and groups from 1918. The third part describes period from 1918 to 1945. The fourth part deals with term after the Second World War until 1989. The fouth concluding part maps period of time from 1989 until now. Historical sources were used from chronicles, antologies, periodicals and mainly from dialogues with contemporaries and founders of sport clubs and groups in Pelhřimov.

History of tennis in South Bohemia

This thesis focuses primarily on an anylisis of the history of tennis in South Bohemia. Here is the attention due to the large extent of the territory, especially given the four largest tennis centers. This thesis is covering period from the beginning of history of tennis in South Boheemia to the present. The author concentrates in this paper only on professional tennis performance and uses for his purpose mostly data obtained in the particular Tennis teams.

An Analysis of regional dialects spoken in Nové Syrovice, Láz

The topic of this work is the analysis of dialect in locations of Nové Syrovice and Láz in the Třebíč region. The author analyses the spoken expressions of three generations (old, middle age and the youngest). The author performs phonetics, morphology and lexical analysis of dialect phenomena and evaluates the current situation of the dialect in this region. The aim of this work is to assess the degree of preservation of dialect features, retreat of previously specific elements or innovation caused by the influence of the media.

The fight against anti-Semitism on the pages of the Tribune in 1919-1924

The work examines the texts that came out from 1919 to 1924 in Tribuna newspapers and determines if the authors wrote abouth anti-Semitism and how they informed about activity of the Jewish movement. Journal was founded by members of the Czech Jewish movement. The first part of my work describes the beginning of the first period of the Czechoslovak Republic from the perspective of the Jewish community. The second part brings the articles published in the Tribuna on the basis of research in historical copies.
