The impact of hand-rearing of the Psittaciformes chicks on their future breeding behaviour and reproduction abilities.
BALABÁN, Michal
Hand-breeding of Psittaciformes is an important theme in connection with potential problems in the reproduction of such reared individuals. This also affects the future survival of some endangered species in the wild. This theme is not very developed in the literature and many breeders are of the opinion that artificially fed birds could cause problems in breeding. Literary research on the given theme, elaboration of 54 anonymous questionnaires filled in by breeders and three interviews with breeders who encountered the issue of inclusion of artificially fed individuals in breeding are chosen as the methodology. During the literature search, evaluation of questionnaires and from the conducted interviews, it was found that mainly the method, resp. the course of artificial breeding, determines the characteristics and abilities of parrots for their future life. The course of hand breeding depends on the decision of the breeder, for what purpose the parrot is intended, whether for breeding or as a domestic companion. Depending on the circumstances and conditions, the hand breeding parrot is able to be of the same quality for breeding as a naturally bred individual or to be a perfect pet. The results of this work contribute to the view that endangered populations of some captive species, which are very difficult to reproduce naturally, can be supplemented under the right conditions by reintroduction of hand-breeding parrots. Artificially bred individuals can also be placed in captivity. If the right process of socialization has taken place, such birds have the same ability to reproduce as naturally bred individuals.
Věková struktura populace plemenných hřebců plemen chovaných v ČR
PÍCHOVÁ, Vladimíra
work deals with the age structure of stallions of selected breeds, which they use for breeding. These are the Czech warmblood, the Old Kladruby horse, the Czech-Komoravian Belgian horse, the Welsh pony and cob breeds, and the Shetland pony. The aim was to explain the concepts associated with horse breeding and breeding activities of stallions. In the work itself, the age structure of stallions of individual breeds was compared, in the categories up to 8 years, 8-15 years, and in the category 16 years and more. The development of these age categories is monitored in 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020. Furthermore, the mating activity of stallions was monitored according to age, number of matings and births of foals.
Vyhodnocení emisí amoniaku z chovu drůbeže ve vybraném zemědělském podniku
HUCEK, Jiří
This diploma thesis deals with pollutants that escape into the air during intensive breeding of broiler chickens. The biggest polluter is ammonia gas, which mainly results in the creation of the greenhouse effect and thus contributes to global warming. Many scientists are working on ways to reduce this unwanted gas, and are therefore developing modern stables technologies for all types of livestock on intensive farms. The final work evaluates the production of emissions from broiler farming. In particular, the evaluation of the annual ammonia emissions and the reduction of the production of this gas in the selected agricultural holding. The measurement was performed at the private agricultural company ZEFA Nová Pec, spol. s r. o. in the broiler chicken farm, located near Strunkovice nad Blanicí.
Comparison of different ways of breeding, nutrition and controlled reproduction of Lota lota
ZÁVORKA, Milan
Based on the results reached after 216 days of experimentation with various breeding types, it can be said that the type of feed is not of paramount importance. This fact is based on the previous adaptation of submitted food, this is especially important for artificial feed. From our point of view, the more important factor is temperature, intensity and method of breeding. Prey selections choices involving 11 species of fish were performed on age groups of different burbot. All groups of burbot preferred the following species: grass carp, pikeperch, tench and stone moroko. The non-preferred species was ruffe. And different preferences were set for common carp, silver carp, burbot, sunfish and also for roach. The study evaluated reproductive parameters in burbot (Lota lota ) and focused on incubation time in two localities. Burbot spawning was observed from January to early February at an average temperature of 1.55 +- 0.9 °C in Borova Lada and 4.78 +- 0.11 °C in Mydlovary. For burbot at the age of 2+, at an average 1166 +- 100 were determined number of swollen eggs per gram. Relative fecundity was at 257260 +- 70678 eggs per kilogram of female. The absolute fecundity was at 24232 +- 6753 eggs. The last parameter evaluated was the incubation period. The average incubation period in the years 2020-2022 was 202 +- 24.55 °D in Mydlovary and 75.8 +- 16.67 °D in Borova Lada. In connection with artificial spawning, in this study, we further point out the possibility of peeling artificially spawn eggs with NaClO, in which we did not observe a negative effect.
Vývoj podílu zahraničních plemeníků v chovu koní v ČR
JEŠETOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of the share of foreign stallions in the Czech Republic. For the analysis I have selected the following breeds - Thoroughbred (A1/1), Czech Warmblood, Haflinger, Noriker Horse, Quarter Horse, Shetland pony, Slovak Warmblood, Welsh Pony and Cob. The development of the share of stallions of Czech and foreign origin was analysed according to data in Catalogues of breeding stallions from 2005 to 2020. The ratio of stallions of foreign and Czech origin is considerably different according to the breed. In the case of the Noriker horse, 85 % or more of stallions are of Czech origin, while breeding stallions are imported to the Czech Republic from only 2 countries - Germany and Austria. In the case of most other breeds the share of foreign and Czech stallions is balanced, or the number of foreign stallions is even higher. From the analysing data we can see that, the main importer of the foreign stallions into the Czech Republic is Germany. The number of stallions of the Czech Warmblood breed has significantly decreased. The number of Czech stallions decreased by 65% and number of abroad stallions by 46 %. The stallions which are included in the CT studbook are imported into the Czech Republic from 14 different countries. No other stallions from the observed breeds are imported from so many foreign countries. Most Thoroughbred stallions are from foreign (89,3 % - 100 %). The main importer of A1/1 into the Czech Republic is Ireland. The number of Slovak Warmblood of Czech and foreign origin show a rising tendency (Czech from 4 to 17, foreign from 12 to 41). The highest number of stallions in quarter horse breeding was in 2011, there were 26 stallions of foreign origin and 21 of Czech origin). Since this year, the number has been still declining - in 2020 to 9, respectively 6 stallions.
Dostupnost chladnokrevných hřebců pro zapouštění klisen v přirozené plemenitbě
BALOUŠKOVÁ, Lidmila
The diploma thesis deals with the availability of cold blood stallions for mating with mares in natural breeding. There are currently three breeds of cold blood horses in the Czech Republic. It is a Noriker horse, a Silesian horse and a Czech-Moravian Belgian horse. In 2020, the total number of horses in the Czech Republic was 92 172, of which 1 352 were Noric horse, 1 365 Silesian horse and 1 971 Czech-Moravian Belgian horse. A total of 132 cold blooded stallions and 532 cold blooded mares were included in the monitoring, which were reproductive active between 2017-2019. In stallions, the age structure, the development of basic body dimensions, the proportion of original genes, the level of performance achieved and the location of the stallion, i.e., the breeding station were monitored. In the case of cold blood mares, the location of the mare was monitored, which was important for determining the distance to the selected stallion. Finally, an economic evaluation was performed
