This work focuses on the analysis of the spectrum of tones played by different bowing technique. The beginning of the work focuses on the theoretical characteristics of string instruments, bowing techniques, basic signal processing. The practical part deals with the practical evaluation of the measured samples: FFT spectrum, harmonic components, inharmonicity, search for formants using LPC, shape of the spectrum and display of directional characteristics. In conclusion, the thesis for further research of bowing techniques.
