Abstract Title: Analysis of Training Methods for Mountain Bike Cross-Country Marathon Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to serve as an inspirational source based on the analysis of training methods. This analysis will be conducted through a review of published sources, which will be compared and analyzed based on established parameters. Methods: The bachelor's thesis is designed as a review study that uses research methods and content analysis. Its task is to synthesize existing knowledge to make the information more comprehensive. The parameters we have set for observation are training effectiveness and training methods. Results: The results indicate that a combination of different training methods, such as sprint, polarized, and high-intensity interval training, best improves cycling performance. A systematic and varied approach to training is recommended for maximum improvement. Conclusions: Based on the reviewed sources used in our thesis, we concluded that short- sprint training (SST) is more effective than heavy strength training (HST) for improving cyclists' sprint abilities. Polarized training (POL) shows a slight improvement in performance compared to low-intensity training (LIT). The studies also suggest that high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is more effective than sprint interval...
