Design and adaptation of electron microscope accessories for in-situ experiments
Drozd, Michal ; Mikulík, Petr (oponent) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (vedoucí práce)
Efficient catalysts, in combination with an optimized reaction and total plant design, are the key factors in reducing both the investment and operational costs of chemical processes. the catalysts can be further developed thanks to advanced experimental techniques. One of them is in-situ electron microscopy. This work deals with the development of automatic heating of the sample in the electron microscope chamber, automatic supply of reactants and measurements of partial pressures in the chamber. Furthermore, the approach of an environmental scanning microscope using laser sample heating is compared with an ultra-high vacuum scanning electron microscope, where resistive heating is used to control the sample temperature.
