The Earthship concept and its energy design

The present thesis describes the Earthship concept as a self-sufficient, sustainable solar passive house and provides a detailed description of energy systems in the Earthship. The thesis also seeks to determine the energy potential of the Earthship concept by estimating the dwelling’s energy balance. A complete overview of the Earthship ideology and a detailed description of its energy systems, which introduce the topic to the reader, were researched in publications and compiled in this thesis. The energy performance of such housing was evaluated according to the Czech and European standards by calculating heat gains and losses in a chosen Earthship study model. Consequently, the passive house criteria were analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of the concept were critically discussed based on the research and the energy balance estimation. Performance evaluation of the chosen Earthship model shows that the dwelling does not fulfill the passive house criteria; however, it is still a low-energy house. The conducted research shows that the design is highly dependant on the climate and the season; therefore, it might not function everywhere in the world.

Využití odpadů při výstavbě pozemních staveb

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na využití odpadů při výstavbě pozemních staveb. V první části se nachází literární rešerše, ve které jsou popsány základní in-formace o odpadech, jako jsou druhy odpadů a jejich výskyt. Dále je popsán Protokol EU o nakládání se stavebními a demoličními odpady, využití odpadů při výstavbě, problematika nebezpečných stavebních odpadů a nakládání s odpady ve státech EU. Pro zajímavost jsou také popsány domy postavené z odpadů tzv. Zemělodě. Druhá část je částí praktickou. Ta obsahuje informace o vybraném úseku dál-nice D3, postupu výstavby dálnice D3 a návrhu využití recyklátů do dálničních těles. Následuje kalkulace a informace o dostupnosti recyklátů.

Společenské, ekonomické a legislativní aspekty výstavby soběstačných domů v České republice

Diplomová práce se věnuje možnostem výstavby soběstačných domů v České republice. Na poznatcích z oblasti ochrany životního prostředí, urbanismu a krajinotvorby dokumentuje sociální a environmentální potřebu tohoto druhu výstavby. Na konkrétním příkladu tzv. Zemělodí, soběstačných domů z recyklovaného materiálu, uvádí konkrétní principy fungování, a adaptaci na české podnebí i legislativu. Cílem této práce je podat ucelený přehled o problematice soběstačného bydlení a reálně zhodnotit možnosti tohoto konceptu v České republice.
