Fluid flow in narrow gap between two cylinders induced by pressure gradient

This thesis is focused on the description of fluid flow through an annulus pipe. The flow is examined for various conditions, leading to laminar as well as the turbulent regime. This paper contains research part which depicts known relations describing this particular flow type and means for measuring velocity profiles. The following part contains an overview of creating computational model, flow simulations with specific conditions and their evaluation. Results from the simulations are used in the description of turbulent flow characteristics. These characteristics are then used in the ensuing part, which aims to obtain relation defining time centred mean velocity profile for turbulent flow through annulus.

Závislost rychlosti růstu pstruha obecného Salmo trutta na populační hustotě v oligotrofních tocích

Diplomová práce se zabývá vlivem početnosti populace na rychlost růstu pstruha obecného Salmo trutta. Výzkum probíhal v Národním parku Šumava, v oligotrofních tocích povodí řeky Vydry a Křemelné. Vzorky byly sbírány v průběhu let 2005 - 2010, vždy na jaře a na podzim. Všechny ryby odlovené pomocí elektrického agregátu byly změřeny, zváženy a individuálně označeny. U části z nich byly odebrány šupiny, které byly fixovány do laboratorních sklíček, vyfotografovány a proměřeny pomocí grafického softwaru. Podle odlišné hustoty přírůstků šupin (anulů) byl určen věk a odvozen délkový přírůstek jedince v jednotlivých letech. Na základě získaných výsledků byl potvrzen negativní vztah mezi početností populace a rychlostí růstu jedinců ve věku 1+. Význam práce spočívá zejména ve srovnání vlivu různých prostorových a časových definic populace na tento vztah. Jako zásadní pro rychlost růstu se prokázal vliv hustoty subpopulace na jaře, tedy na začátku růstového období. Tento fakt poukazuje na význam intenzity kompenzačního růstu po dlouhém zimním období pro celkový růst jedince v podmínkách oligotrofních horských toků.
