This bachelor thesis deals with monitoring of the environment using solution with affordable thermal imaging sensor and development platform. First part presents basic overview of thermal imaging technology and its use cases, as well as technical specifications and various features of Flir LEPTON 3.5 sensor and OpenMV Cam H7 R2 platform. Second part provides information and instructions on how to work with the sensor and showcases some possible applications. Also, are there presented some ways on how to overcome possible limitations of the sensor, as well as its comparison with other commercially available thermal imaging cameras.
