Size Dependence of Incorporation of Gas Molecules into Aerosol Nanoparticles
Levdansky, V.V. ; Smolík, Jiří ; Ždímal, Vladimír ; Moravec, Pavel
The influence of size effects on the physicochemical transformations and transfer phenomena in the heterogeneous systems with nanoobjects attracts increasing attention of researchers. These problems are of interest for nanotechnology and atmospheric physics. Size effects can influence the cohesive energy as well as the activation energies of vacancy formation and diffusion of atoms in the nanoscale particles (Vanithakumari and Nanda, 2008). Phase transitions in aerosol systems with nanoscale particles (clusters) also depend on the nanoparticle size (Levdansky et al., 2010). Hear we discuss the size dependence of the mass accommodation coefficient in the aerosol system with nanoparticles.

Seasonal variations of concentrations of saccharides in PM2.5 aerosol in urban area
Křůmal, Kamil ; Kubátková, Nela ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk
The concentrations of saccharides (monosaccharides, disaccharides and sugar alcohols) in PM2.5 aerosol in Brno at four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter 2010 and winter 2011) were observed.
Comparison of concentration of ions in PM1 aerosol sampled on nitrate cellulose and teflon filters
Kořínková, Alena ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Křůmal, Kamil
Concentration of ions in PM1 aerosol sampled on nitrate cellulose and teflon filters were studied in this work.
Comparison of concentrations of ions sampled on cellulose and teflon filters
Kořínková, Alena ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Křůmal, Kamil
Determination of chloride, fluoride, nitrate, sulfate, oxalate and ammonium bounded to aerosol by sampling on cellulose filters is influenced by positive and negative interferences of gaseous pollutants. Interferences of gaseous pollutants during sampling of aerosols on teflon filters were eliminated by including of annular diffusion denuder in front of the filter.
Comparison of the gaseous and liquid releases of the Czech and world nuclear power plants
DOBEŠ, Petr
In this work, which deals with problematics of releases from nuclear power plants, I tried to make an overview of various types of nuclear power plants and radioizotopes which are released through liquid and gasseous effluents. As a part of this comparison evaluation of czech and world nuclear power plants gaseous and liquid releases was made. Introductory part of this work contains information about different types of nuclear power plants and radioizotopes, which are produced in their reactors. It continues with today{\crq}s legislative and information about releasing levels and methods and systems used for measurement of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents from nuclear power plants. Second part of this work describes the aim of this work and hypothesis. Third part explains the methods, which were used for completing of this work. Fourth part contains results in the form of tables and graphs. Fifth part represents discussion of the results. Last part is a summarization of the results.
Mass distribution of atmospheric aerosols of size fractions PM1, PM2.5 and PM10
Vojtěšek, Martin ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Adamec, V. ; Ličbinský, R. ; Huzlík, J.
The mass concentration of PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 and temporal changes of PM2.5 were measured. The effect of traffic was examined.
Depozice aerosolů ve vnitřním prostředí.
Hruška, Aleš ; Dohányosová, Pavla ; Hemerka, J. ; Smolík, Jiří
The aim of this paper is acquirement of the functional dependence of the deposition rate ? on the particle size, for experiments with monodisperse and polydisperse aerosols. Experimental data are compared with results calculated by theoretical model.
Identification of Bounds between Qualitative Parameters of Aerosols and Their Place of Occurence
Tydlitát, Vratislav ; Pekárek, Vladimír ; Šyc, Michal ; Schwarz, Jaroslav ; Karban, Jindřich
Results of measurements of aerosols obtained by 24hour taking in two localities in Prague during the year 2004 and in three localities during the year 2005 are presented.
Aerosol in the steam turbine?
Kolovratník, Michal ; Hrubý, Jan ; Ždímal, Vladimír
The small amount of admixtures in steam circuits of power stations influences their life-expectancy and energetic efficiency. It is likely that non-volatile admixtures are in the environment of the dry (superheated) steam transported in the form lf dry particles or concentrated nanometric droplets, aerosols. For the detection of these particles a new sampling line is proposed, using the aerosol technology. It will be possible to connect the sampling line to sampling ports of a steam turbine.
