Consolidated financial statements

Bachelor thesis describes what's consolidated financial statements. Explains the difference between financial statements prepared for one company, called the Individual Financial Statements, and the financial statements prepared for a group of companies called the consolidated financial statements. Describes relationships between companies according to the degree of influence: decisive influence, associates, joint influence kinds of companies: parent company, joint venture, associated company. Work includes how these notions are looking to Czech laws and international standards. There are the types of laws relating to the consolidated financial statements: Czech laws and internationally accepted accounting standards. Then there is that companies are required to prepare consolidated accounts and which companies are required to submit to her, approaches to consolidation: the ownership approach, general user access and combined approach and which methods based on them. The thesis contains theoretical procedures to establish the various methods of consolidation, integration method, and the equity ratio. The practical part is presented by each method one practical example.

In my bachelor´s thesis I deal with an issue of extension of virtual platform in a great company. In the first part of my thesis I work with familiarization with the company and analysis of the actual IT structure. The second part is theoretically focused on area of virtualization, reasons for usage and types of virtualization. Furthermore, I describe the most used platforms from Microsoft and VMware companies, in addition I compare them. The last part of my thesis is about a proposal of the most suitable solution and a total evaluation of benefits for the company.

The thesis "Non-performing loans - Consolidation loans and other solutions of the situation" outlines the issues of loans, analyzes the causes and consequences of default and outlines pos-sible solutions, including prevention. The first part deals with the theoretical description of consumer loans. The second part is devoted to the analysis of bids and conditions of individu-al bank and non-bank lenders and is practically focused on the solution of the non-performing loans of the model cases.

The thesis deals with differences in the consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with Czech accounting regulations and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS. These differences are defined in detail in the consolidated financial statements of the holding company for the ABC in 2009. The first part focuses on the elevator theoretical background related to this issue. The second part deals directly with the consolidated financial statements of the holding company of ABC.

The part is also the description of individual technologies of virtual environment and their advantages. It focuses detailed on the area of consolidation of the servers which is decisive for IT infrastructire in the organization. At the end is suggested one particular solution with the evaluation of the advantages for the company.

The decision about the presence of synergistic effects is based on the comparison of values of selected indicators for parent company and the concern.
