Software defined networks
Flimel, Peter ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma work describes the software-defined network focusing on optical networks. Subsequently designed their own software network that is implemented in the environment OMNeT ++. This work deals with SDN (software-defined network), and impact on current communications environment in the world of telecom-munications services.
Multicast Simulation in OMNeT++
Mateleško, Petr ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of multicast simulation in OMNeT++ simulator. It describes basic principles of the multicast data transfer and closely focuses on the IGMP protocol in all of its versions. The applied part of this thesis consists of a design and implementation of an IGMP extension module for the OMNeT++ simulator.
ZigBee Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Bartek, Lukáš ; Nagy, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze ZigBee standard - its characteristic, potential use and testing its implementation in simulators. This work is consists of four sections. The first section analyses the structure of IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee protocol stack means of communications, security and development of this standard. The second section describes features of available simulators. The third section is the manual for creating simulation environment in the selected simulator. The final section shows practical preparation, process and result interpretation. The goal of this project is evaluation of tested simulator for education and development.
Using OMNeT++ simulator in teaching telecommunication technologies
Jalůvka, Jiří ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
Main goal of this thesis is to familiarize with possibilities in simulating environment OMNeT++ with use of pre-integrated models or models imported from INET Framework. Simulated LAN networks created by 802.3 standard (ethernet) and 802.11 (Wi-Fi) will be performed in this simulation environment. In such networks, data traffic will be created at the application layer (video streaming, telnet, etc.) using the TCP and UDP transport protocol. For the UDP transport protocol graph will show a delay between end-to-end network elements in the first and second example and a jitter grap in the second practical example. For the TCP transport protocol will be performed „three-way handshake process“. Also, multi-way signal spread is shown by 802.11 standard.
Modelling Cisco Router in Simulation Tool OMNeT++
Sivák, Vladimír ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes simulation of computer networks using open source simulator OMNeT++ including the INET Framework extension. According to real behaviour of Cisco routers, we implemented a new modul for the INET Framework extension. Casy study compares behaviour of real network with simulation of the same network in OMNeT++ using the implemented modul.
Modelling and Simulation of Network Design Guides for IP Routing
Rybová, Veronika ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes simulation of network using tools Packet Tracer and OMNeT++. Models of network are created according to design guides by Cisco company, which use routing protocols RIP, OSPF and redistribution. In order to provide full functionality of models in OMNeT++ it is necessary to implement protocol RIP and redistribution from protocol OSPF to protocol RIP. Practical usage of tools is demonstrated by simulations of accessibility and stability of network. Thesis investigates results of simulations and usage of both tools for simulation of networks. We use design guides, which are destined to design of real networks, and implement protocol according to standard RFC, therefore we suppose that this thesis will have practical usage for analysis and simulation of company's and academical networks.
Simulation of Network Behaviour Based on Analysis of Configuration of Active Network Devices
Scherfel, Peter ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes simulation of computer networks using open source simulator OMNeT++. We implemented tool, witch generate all important settings for simulation from configuration files of Cisco routers. In this thesis is covered grammar of Cisco IOS. This thesis contains tutorial how to extend this tool with new IOS commands.
OMNeT++ Extension with ACL Filtering Module
Suchomel, Tomáš ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes discrete simulation of network in OMNeT++. We are exploring effective representation and evaluation of ACL rules by advanced data structures based on interval decision diagrams. OMNeT++ is extended by filtering properties of packets using access control lists. Because ACL filtering is not supported in OMNeT++, it was added as a brand-new module, whose concept and implementation is described here. Practical usage of the implemented module is demonstrated on a simulation of real nontrivial network. We also analyse results of the simulation and verify them by comparison with  real network behaviour.
Modelling OSPF Routing Protocols Using OMNeT++ Simulator
Danko, Martin ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a dynamic, hierarchical routing protocol designed to support routing in TCP/IP networks. There is a deliberate need for large-scale simulation of OSPF protocol in order to understand its dynamics. Content of this bachelor's thesis is modeling and simulation of OSPF protocol in discrete event simulation system OMNeT++. The main focus is to give an insight of the architecture of the existing implementation in module OSPFRouting. The module OSPFRouting is also validated against OSPF implementation on the real routers. Next, the usage of OSPF simulation is demonstrated on the specific experiments.
Simulation of EIGRP Protocol Behavior Using OMNeT++
Tlolka, Martin ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
The present thesis deals with the analysis of EIGRP routing protocol for the purpose of integration of EIGRP simulation model in OMNeT++ environment. Protocol EIGRP defined by Cisco Systems is proprietary, which represents an obstacle in the implementation of a simulation model. In the present work, the description of a behavior of the protocol resembled from available information sources is given and then refined according the results obtained from experiments done with real network devices. The contribution of the work consists of a description of protocol behaviors in basics situations and the identification of properties that the simulation model should comply with.
