Properties and application of anti-deposite and anti-graffiti polymer coatings
Linhartová, Daniela ; Jalůvka, Vítězslav (referee) ; Tulka, Jaromír (advisor)
Properties of selected types of anti-deposit and anti-graffiti polymer coatings on selected background materials are presented. It is focused on drying value, hardness and adherence of protective coatings, as well as resistance of background material, anti-deposit and anti-graffiti coatings against selected solvents. Removability of selected deposits and graffiti from anti-deposit and anti-graffiti coatings by force of solvents is also evaluated.
Preparation and Characterization of Drug Carrier Systems on the Basis of Magnetic Nanoparticles
Chvátalová, Barbora ; Burdíková, Jana (referee) ; Kalina, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of magnetic nanoparticles, optimizing their preparation and stabilization. The nanoparticles with different ratios of Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions were prepared by coprecipitation by variously concentrated sodium hydroxide. Three samples of particles were selected and were further observed. Their stability in Milli-Q water, buffer, polyvinylalcohol, hyaluronic acid and chitosan was studied in function of time using methods of dynamic and electrophoretic light scattering. By UV-VIS spectrometry it was confirmed that the magnetic nanoparticles were actually prepared. Nanoparticles coated with chitosan and hyaluronic acid were then further characterized using FT-IR, XRD and SEM.
Nanorobots
Haluza, Lukáš ; Vrbka, Martin (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
The point of Bachelor´s work is to illustrate Nanotechnology and Nanorbots to all. The first part concerns Nanotechnology as a science, description of nanoworld and its explanation a technical terms. The second part concerns nanorobots, their construction, succeses which was reached, areas of use, plans and problems that inhibit their full usage in ordinary life
Application of nanofillers into thermoplastics
Žák, Luboš ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the search of the state of knowledge in the preparation, properties and applications of nanocomposites with thermoplastics polymer matrix and different types of nanofillers in theoretical part. Methods for the preparation of nanocomposites and techniques used for their characterization are clearly describes. The first method for preparing nanocomposites is an application of nanofiller to the polymer solution with subsequent removal of the solvent. The second method is the dispersion polymerization of nanofiller in the monomer. The last one is the application of nanofiller in the dispersion of ethanol into the polymer melt. The experimental part deals with the preparation of foils for characterization of rheological properties of nanocomposites at first. Polystyrene was polymer matrix and selected nanofillers was applied to the polymer solution and then it was removed the solvent. The second method was the preparation of nanocomposites dispersion polymerization of nanofillers in the monomer. The method in-situ preparation of nanocomposite is based on the thermal initiated polymerisation of styrene in the dispersion of nanofillers with the selected type radical initiator. The third proposed method was the application of ethanol dispersion of fillers into the polymer melt in the Brabender mixer.
Potential risks of nano-particle materials utilization
Flimelová, Miroslava ; Šmejkalová, Daniela (referee) ; Kučerík, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis „Potential risks of nano-particle materials utilization“ summarizes scientific knowledge on nanotechnology, nano-particle and nano-chemistry. The aim of the work is the literature overview on potential problems associated with their utilization. Thesis is focused particularly on nanoparticles exploitation and limits connected with their understanding and prediction of their fate in the environment. The impact of nanotechnology on the society and every-day life is discussed with respect to various risk sources.
Analysis of nanotechnology in the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2003 and its contribution to the economic growth
Konečný, Lukáš ; Štekláč, Jiří (advisor) ; Lukášová, Tereza (referee)
The goal of this paper is to analyse the development of nanotechnology in the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2013. The main focus is on contribution of nanotechnology to the economic growth of the Czech Republic. The first part of the paper is focused on history and importance of nanotechnology in the world. It contains a review of theories of economic growth in relation to technological progress. The second part describes the history of Czech nanotechnology and reveals its current state. The main section of this part provides an analysis of the Czech nanotechnology businesses and their development in the years 1993-2013.
Novel foods
MIKLOŠOVÁ, Katarína
The contents of the Bachelor's thesis is the performance of novel foods. Since it is relatively new and not much known area of the food industry, is available to only a limited amount of information. The work shows how it looks on the Czech market legislation, approval, placing into circulation and food safety. It is also possible to read at work how consumers and retailers perceive novel foods. What range of novel foods is in our market? A new type of food is also genetically modified organisms, that work also deals with.
The analysis of selected industrial sectors in the Czech republic and Germany and the comparison of their competitiveness as a base for strategic decision making
Rybička, Miloš ; Kukliš, Igor (advisor) ; Cejthamr, Václav (referee)
The goal of this Masters Thesis is to analyze three selected industry sectors in the Czech Republic and in Germany. Concretely the industries in focus are engineering, motor vehicle manufacturing and finally pharmacy along with bio- and nanotechnology. Furthermore, factors limiting but also supporting the industry development are identified and described in the Thesis. In the Thesis, analytical instruments will be used, especially the SWOT analysis and benchmarking. The Thesis is mainly intended for managers, employees, consultants and all other direct or indirect interest groups of both Czech and German industry companies and their suppliers but also for potential investors who are deciding whether to enter a market in the CEE region.
Nanotechnology and its importance in the Czech economy
Škrabáková, Romana ; Vlčková, Jana (advisor) ; Jusko, Ján (referee)
For a small open economy such as the Czech Republic are important innovations, high value-added business and export. The main objective of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the overall advancement of nanotechnology and its impact on the economy, not only in the world but mainly in the Czech Republic. The paper first describes nanotechnology theoretically, its history and use. The second part focuses on the importance of nanotechnology to the world economy. On nanotechnologies in Czech Republic focuses third chapter, which evaluates funding, research and development of nanotechnology, the impact on the Czech economy and compares the position of the Czech Republic and other countries. The last part is devoted to the future of nanotechnology and the impact of their progress on the economy and investment.
The use of nanotechnology in agricultural production.
BAHENSKÝ, Bohumír
This thesis defines nanotechnology. It focuses on their use in various industries, especially in agriculture. The experiment in this paper is concerned Envirolyte that produces electrochemically activated water. The device was used in raising chickens for meat to disinfect drinking water and thus reduce the emission of gases. Was compared to the reference and experimental hall, which used Envirolyte el-900. Production of ammonia emissions in specific reference lobby is 0,307210 kg / pcs / year and for the experimental hall 0,165054 kg / pcs / year, which is a decrease of 46%. Operation rate is 92,15 CZK / day. Annual operating costs are 23 221,8 CZK and costs of reducing ammonia emissions by 1 kg is 321,8 CZK.
