Seminář je realizován v rámci projektu Moderní informační a komunikační technologie v knihovnictví s podporou programu Ministerstva kultury "Veřejné informační služby knihoven – podprogram Mimoškolní vzdělávání knihovníků". Cílem projektu je poskytnout teoretické znalosti a praktické dovednosti ve využití moderních informačních a komunikačních technologií především v oblasti služeb knihoven. Seminář "Co se skrývá za vyhledáváním aneb Searching Session NTK" je určen pracovníkům různých typů knihoven a informačním specialistům.

Publishing the vocabulary of the types of grey literature as linked data

The formulation of the vocabulary of the types of grey literature in RDF (Resource Description Framework) provides an explicit conceptualization of the domain of grey literature. This type of modelling harnesses the expressive power of ontology languages for RDF data format and its flexible and extensible nature. Formalized in this way, the vocabulary serves as a means to describe grey literature resources in a structured, machine-readable manner. Adopting linked data publishing model affords the re-use and light-weight integration of the vocabulary with other vocabularies via links. The vocabulary built in this way can re-purpose existing vocabularies and re-purpose their concepts by putting them in a new context. This may lead to tighter integration of grey literature within the Web and make it easier to be discovered.

Vybrane vlastnosti atributy anotovanych dat

The paper compares features of learning and querying process in the situation, when values in the input data set are annotated by attributes or this information is not available. The attribute annotation enables to consider global relationships, which are useful to express the data semantics in a explicit way. It will be shown data can be accessed with no semantic interpretation and then, after the evaluation process, the result can be interpreted.

Integrační systém založený na ontologiích

Integration has been an acknowledged problem for a long time. With the aim at combining data from different sources, data integration usually provides a unified global view over these data. A crucial part of the task is the establishment of the connection between the global view and the local sources. Two basic approaches have been proposed for this purpose: Global As View (GAV) and Local As View (LAV). With the Semantic Web and its data description means, there is also another possibility - to employ ontologies for the relationship description in an integration system.
