Early Intervention as a Complex Rehabilitation Program in the Arpida, o. s. Centre
JANOŠÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis deals with a social service of early intervention provided by the non-governmental non-profit organization, Arpida, o.s. Centre. The institution offers assistance for families, in which a child was born with disability, adolescents and young adults with physical or combined disability. In the theoretical part of the thesis I am concerned with an issue when a born child with a disability brings unexpected difficulties to the family. Further I describe the realization of the early intervention service in a global context, but I primarily focus on specifics of the early intervention in the Czech Republic. A fundamental part of literary search deals with the early intervention provided by the Arpida, o.s. Centre with means of a complex rehabilitation program. Its purpose is foreshadowed; to improve a state and a function of the whole family. It is also pointed out on an open future for these children, who have there an opportunity to take use of the following care and education. I introduce the difference of the early intervention provided by this institution against another organizer, The Centre for an early intervention. The work in the field of assisting professions is a formidable task and therefore I am concerned also with possible risks, which can occur during the work. The aim of the investigative section is to enter the lives of the early intervention clients. Try to understand their feelings and needs, which they obtained during the use of the service. To secure the highest quality of the service, it is important to focus on the employees too. Since they also bring a valuable insight into the issue. This combination of views of clients and providers helps us capture the situation in all its complexity and it does not take into consideration only one side, which is involved in this process. The research brings a complete image of the early intervention. It shows points appropriate to focus in order to achieve the highest quality of the service. In the investigative part is applied qualitative research. I selected questioning as a method of retrieving data, more precisely the technique of semi standardized interviews. These interviews were further studied. They were used for evaluating dependence of quality of the service on critical signs by means of the method of the Quality Function Deployment. The results of the research showed the percentage of critical signs depending on the quality of the service.
The Implementation of Socio-therapeutic Activities in Early Intervention Centers.
SVOBODOVÁ, Ilona
An early care is discussed more often in the last few years. Both specialists and non-professionals are aware of its importance in development of a child with its specific needs. However almost no one knows about actual services which can be provided by the early care. Most people learn about them when they or someone close to them start to use them. This thesis has a theoretical and a practical part. It focuses on services which are offered by the early care. In the theoretical part I focused on questions, what is the early care, what are its aims, forms, principles, standards, programs, functions and purposes. In the practical part I gave attention to particular providers of social service of the early care in the south of Bohemia. I tried to map forms of implemented socially therapeutic activities. I chose qualitative research and a method of semi- standardized interview which was made with managers or representatives of centres. I obtained information about socially therapeutic services and their implementation. I recorded services preferred by social workers and their reasons. It emerges from discussions that social workers favour mainly stays and socially therapeutic activities. I also found future plans of providers of social service of the early care. These plans very often depend on financial funds. I also made a few suggestions which could help to improve services of providers of the early care in the south of Bohemia.
Awareness of Pediatricians and Social Workers on Early Intervention Services
PLÁŠILOVÁ, Dana
The theoretical part includes the demarcation of circumstances in which young children may develop a disability as well as rehabilitation options. Furthermore, it deals with the history and progress of early years care in the Czech Republic. It also touches on the topic of how to impart the adverse diagnosis on parents or how to handle such situations. The results of the study reveal that while the social workers at the department for social matters and healthcare as well as paediatricians in the České Budějovice area are aware of the existence of early years care, they do not pass on this information to families at such a level that they may decide whether or not they wish to make use of these services of early years care. The families at the České Budějovice Early Years Care Centre obtain information about early years care prevalently from specialists in large hospitals. They would appreciate being given this information directly at the maternal ward or hospital where the baby was born, or from their paediatrician

LOPATOVÁ, Zdeňka
Family plays a very important role in every man{\crq}s life. In family we hawe a haven, we can lay on it all the time and it is a stepping stone into our life. We learn the basics of manners and mutual relations within our family. It is also a pattern for us, how the family relationships should look like. Of course we consider family without any pathological problems. Such a family can offer the right start into the life so that a man becomes an even and self {--} confident personality. I chose this topic for the reason, as I found it interesting for absorbing and elaborating. As mentioned above plays the family an important role in every man{\crq}s life the more if it considers a child which is disadvantaged. The way and grade of handicap plays no role, but the attitude of the family and the closest does. It takes different period of time to each person to cope with this fact, but in my personal opinion, most families can successfully go over it. In this time there are a lot of organizations devoted to taking care of families of visual handicapped children who work as well as with the parents as with the children themselves. Although the access to information can be sufficient for the parents, the offer is not always used by the parents and this happens even though complex and special attitude is needed in these cases. The aim of my work is to make clear the issue of children with a visual handicap education. My hypothesis was, that for an optimal grow up and education of these children is a sufficient source of information and cooperation with the parents with the institutions needed and I also proved it in my qualitative research. For my research I used a questionnaire and a guided dialogue with the parents and handicapped children. I interviewed in total four families, who assisted very well. I can see a practical use of my conclusions mainly in the sphere of people awareness about the problems and hurdles of the families with a handicapped child, further on their education and interests as well as their integration into society.
