The diploma thesis is focused on area of life insurance. First part explains main role of life insurance and defines its types. It includes information about development trends in the insurance market. The gist of the thesis is comparison of life insurance (unit linked insurace) products of five czech biggest insurance companies. Next part describes motivation of consumers to insure themselves. It also points out the rival products. Last part focuses on pension reform and how life insurance is connected with this reform.

Position and strategy of Česká pojišťovna a.s. in a domestic and foreign market

The thesis focuses on the analysis of the position and strategy of Česká pojišťovna a.s. in the Czech and Romanian market. At the beginning the company Česká pojišťovna is introduced followed by a description of the current strategy whose part is a definition of marketing mix as well and then by the analysis of Czech insurance market from which the position of Česká pojišťovna in the Czech republic arises. At the close of these chapters an evaluation of activities of Česká pojišťovna in the Czech insurance market was performed including proposed recommendations on the improvement. Next parts of the thesis are already dedicated to Romania. Specifics of the entrepreneurial environment are summarized in the PEST analysis followed by Romanian insurance market analysis completed with information regarding the entry of the company in this market and evaluation of its activities in Romania. As the thesis was written during an economic crisis, it includes an identification of its impacts on both the company and above mentioned markets, namely in the economic sphere and incurance sector as well.

Developments and trends in the structure of insurers in the Czech insurance market

Bachelor thesis analyses structure and development of insurance market. First it shortly focuses on history, and not just post revolution period of Czech insurance market. Next chapter focuses on area of insurance market structure, mostly after joining European Union. Substantial parts include number of subjects in the market, their financial structure, capital participation, costs of insurance benefits, technical reserves and solvency of insurance companies. Following chapter focuses on legislative, regulation and supervision of insurance market. Consequentially there is being analyzed development in insurance penetration and current trends in insurance market. Last chapter is dedicated to influence of financial crisis on insurance market.

Analysis of czech insurance market and prognosis of its future development

This bachalor thesis is concerned with the insurance market in the Czech Republic since the very beginning of "insuring" until the modern days, when the domestic insurance market is integrated into the European Union. The thesis comprises four individual parts. The first unit deals with the development of insurance system. The following chapter relates the contemporary situation of the Czech insurance market. In the third part, the Czech insurance market is compared to the markets of other countries which joined the EU in 2004. Besides that, an analysis of present period of stagnation of the insurance market is introduced. The last chapter contains the principles the European insurance market is based on. It also embodies the gradual process of integration of the Czech insurance market into the EU.

Insurance market in Great Britain

Bachelor thesis explains the layout of the insurancemarket in Great Britain. It describes the development of the insurance market, whose origin dates back to the second half of the 17th century. It was in London, where a small coffee shop was opened by Mr. Edward Lloyd, who made use the shop as a center ofinformation exchange in maritime transport. The Bachelor Thesis describes gradual developement of this pioneer at the insurance market. It futhermore clarifies the essence of British insurance market with emphasis on its heterogeneousness. The Thesis is also aimed at clarifying of the nature of the insurance market, and points to the specifics of its diversified structure. An individiual section is devoted to analysis of insurance provided by Lloyd's, which is often described as the world's most famous, but also the least understood brand in the field of insurance. The Thesis describes the structure of Loyd's business and its challenges in new millennium such as insurance of oil-fields, wind-mill power plants, commercial airlines, and the private exploration of the space. Threats such as global terrorism, climate changes and geopolitical instability underline the need for Lloyd's to remain flexibly responsive to the new challanges.

Accident insurance analysis in the Czech insurance market

The goal of this work is to introduce readers to accident insurance, give them a concise, readily understood, overview of the contents, and to analyze the similarities and the position of accident insurance in the Czech insurance market. The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first chapter is focused on basic information about accident insurance especially its history and present position in the Czech insurance market including legal regulations in the conditions of the Czech Republic and the determination of the subjects in insurance furthermore definition of the term accident, exclusions, classes of the insurance benefit and accident insurance and calculation of the premium and insurance benefit. The last chapter contains accident insurance analysis in two different insurance companies.

The value of insurance in whole encreases with development of world economy. The growth of value brings with itself a structure modification of insurance products, their properties and ways of their sale. The new products development start demands a new approach to sales. On the one hand they are supported by technical advance and experience, on the other hand man should take in attention a specificity of the local market. In my bachelor research I attempted to describe the tendencies of insurance products distributing. As the methods of sales are closely related to the market development and economic players behavior, simultaneously, the other purpose of research is to reveal the most manifestative tendencies in miscellaneous sectors of the insurance market.

The insurance fraud issue in the Czech Republic

The thesis is being concerned with one of the serious criminal acts causing each year damages worth hundrends of millions Czech crowns. The main aim of the thesis is to provide a complex view of the problems. The thesis analyses the issue from both legal and economic angle of view, deals with the insurance fraud typology and proves the theory by evidence of particular cases. The thesis thereinafter discovers causations of commiting insurance frauds and describes the insurence fraud abatment. In the end the thesis tries to disclose the weak points of the system of prevention, to point at them and to come up with the improvement suggestions and recommendations.
