Optical measurement of the two-dimensional flow field in the model of the regulating valve in different phases of the plug trajectory
Vlček, Václav ; Luxa, Martin
The interferometric method was used for visualization of the flow field in the valve. Images were recorded by a photocamera, the system triggering and the flash and samera shutter are controlled acording to the position of the plug using a LabViews programme. Miniature pressure transducer probes were used to obtain information corresponding to the losses and pressure fluctuations in the near field of the vibrating plug.
Proudění kolem profilu v kanále s dynamickými účinky
Fürst, J. ; Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The work deals with a numerical solution of steady and unsteady 2D inviscid incompressible flow over the profile NACA 0012 in a channel. The flow is described by the system of Euler equations. Cell-centered finite-volume scheme at quadrilateral C-mesh is used. Steady state solutions and also unsteady flows caused by the prescribed oscillations of the profile were computed. The method of artificial compressibility and the time dependent method are used for computation of the steady state solution.
Dynamic and stability properties of an aeroelastic model
Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozánek, Jan ; Veselý, Jan
Frequency modal and damping characteristics of an aeroelastic model designed for experiments in the wind tunnel are studied. Based on the experimental modal analysis the structural mass damping and stiffnes matrices of the model are determined by identification procedures. The stability boundaries, i.e. the critical flow velocity for the flutter instability of the model were measured in the wind tunnel.
Preliminary Aeroelastic Experiment on the Profile with Two Degrees of Freedom
Vlček, Václav ; Luxa, Martin
One degree of freedom is represented by translational movement across the flow field, the other by rotation around profile axis, which is in the 1/3 from the leading edge. The schlieren and interferometric methods were used for flow visualization, images were recorded by a photocamera. Examples of the interferogrammes obtained are presented.
Verification of Numerical Solution of 2d Flow in Experimental Valves with Rigid and Moving Cone
Matas, R. ; Vlček, Václav
This work was our introductory simulation of the body-compressible flow field interaction. Verification of calculations based on our experiments is not fully satisfactory, but they are important from the applied method point of view. Results have shown that it is possible to use a moving grid on a relatively complex geometry even at transonic velocities.
Experimental aeroelastic investigation of models with one- and two degrees of freedom
Vlček, Václav ; Luxa, Martin
Two models for aeroelastic experiments were realized and partly tested. Models have one- and two-degrees of freedom, elastic properties of these models are changeable. It is possible to carry out simultaneous optical measurements of the flow field and dynamic measurements.
Steady and unsteady flow over a profile in a channel
Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The work deals with numerical solution of 2D inviscid incompressible flow over the profile NACA 0012 in a channel. The finite volume method in a form of cell-centered scheme at quadrilateral mesh is used. Governing system of equations is the system of Euler equations. Numerical results achieved at H-mesh and C-mesh are compared. The work presents computation of the steady states of the flow and also unsteady flow influenced by the prescribed oscillating behaviour of the profile.
Numerical solution of some 2D incompressible flow using dynamical effects
Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The work deals with a numerical solution of 2D inviscid incompressible flow throuht a cascade and over a profile in a channel. The finite volume method in a form of cell-centered scheme at triangular and qudrilateral mesh is used. the composite scheme applied to a numerical solution consists of more dissipative part adn less dissipative par. Governign system of equations is the system of Euler equations.
Nonlinear formulationof airfoil vibration for aero-hydroelastic calculations
Horáček, Jaromír
In the most of well known publications on aeroelasticity it is not possible to find any derivation of the airfoil section vibration for large amplitudes. The contribution presents fundamental nonlinear equations of motion usable in calculations of aeroelastic instability boundaries of airfoils and nonlinear boundary conditions of impermeability on the airfoil surface vibrating in ideal flowing fluid.
Numerical solution of flow past an oscillating profile in a channel
Honzátko, R. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Kozel, K.
The paper presents the numerical solution of 2D flow for inviscid incompressible fluid in a channel with a profile inside. The fluid flow is modified by a prescribed oscillation of the profile. The Euler equations are used for the fluid flow and the motion of the profile is given by a harmonic time varying angle of attack.
