Changing the fuel base of the coal boiler
Kallas, Miloš ; Burša, Robert (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the change of the fuel base of a coal boiler due to the reduction of CO2 emissions and its thermal recalculation. In the first part, there is implemented calculation of the combusting chamber. This is followed by the recalculation of the heat transfer surfaces. The emphasis is placed on the preservation of the exsiting steam parametrs.
RDF Grate Biomass Boiler
Malíková, Veronika ; Křemínský, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a grate boiler for the combustion of a mixture of RDF and wood chips with the specified output and parameters of superheated steam. The introduction consists of stoichiometric calculations and determination of the thermal efficiency of the boiler. The thesis is devoted to determining the dimensions of the boiler, heat transfer calculations, determining pressure losses, checking the heat balance and chlorine corrosion.
Design of steam gas boiler
Kuriál, Jakub ; Bursa, Robert (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design of a steam boiler combusting natural gas. It consists of stoichiometric calculation, determination of boiler efficiency, thermal calculations and determining geometric parameters of the boiler and its heat transfer surfaces. The results are verified by the heat balance of the boiler.
Grate Biomass Boiler
Dražka, Ondřej ; Křemínský, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is a design of a grate steam boiler with capacity of 35 t/h and output steam parameters with temperature 430 °C and pressure 4,1 MPa. The first part of the thesis deals with stoichiometric calculations and boiler efficiency. The theses mainly focuses on the heat transfer calculation and the geometric design of individual heat transfer surfaces. The specifics of fuel are taken into consideration. The drawing of the basic boiler scheme is a part of the thesis.
Rating thermal calculation of fire tube water heater
Polášek, Kryštof ; Skryja, Pavel (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with thermal calculations of fire tube water heater. The first part of the thesis describes different classifications of boilers and water heaters and provides a basic overview for different types of commonly used boilers. The next part describes thermal calculation model created in Maple software, used formulas and algorithm of the model. Subsequently, the model is applied to the experimental water heater in the form of computational rating. In the last part of the thesis the model is applied to the existing operated industrial water heater to evaluate predictive ability of the calculation model by comparing the essential operating parameters obtained from the calculation with real data measured on the water heater.
Heat-Hydraulic Design of the Exchanger for the Test Device
Únar, Jan ; Toman, Filip (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of tube exchanger for testing device. The exchanger will serve to heat or cool the flowing air to the desired value. The heating / cooling medium flowing in the tubular space is water. The first part describes the functions, distribution, requirements and current trends of heat exchangers. The second part consists of thermal and hydraulic calculations for the variant of bare tubes and finned tubes and evaluation of results. The result of this work is a design of a tube exchanger, which has the shape of a square type channel for both variants.
Hot Water Grate Boiler
Svoboda, Marek ; Šilhavý, Karel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of hot water grate boiler, where the output is water with parameters 130 °C and pressure 16 bar. In the content of the whole thesis is gradually introduced a stoichiometric calculations, which is based on the specified fuel – wood chips. This is followed by the design of the individual heating surfaces according to the thermal calculations given in the thesis. Finally, the calculation is extended by hydraulic and aerodynamic losses. Dimensional design, as a basic scheme, is shown at thesis. More detailed drawing documentation is attached to this thesis.
Grate RDF Boiler
Lachman, Jakub ; Šilhavý, Karel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with the design of a boiler for RDF combustion, based on the required power output and superheated steam parameters. The first part of the thesis focuses on combustion calculations. Boiler efficiency is also calculated in this chapter, using the heat balance efficiency method. The main part of the thesis consists of dimensional design and heat transfer calculations. The precision of the calculations is checked at the end of the thesis along with the chlorine corrosion, which is considered because of the higher amount of chlorine in the fuel. The thesis comes with a basic schematic of the designed boiler.
Grate Biomass Boiler
Michalica, Martin ; Křemínský, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design grate boilers with natural circulation for the combustion of contaminated biomass. The boiler output is output 45 t/h. Produced superheated steam with the output parameters of 440 °C 4,2 at MPa feed water temperature 115 °C. The stoichiometric calculations and the thermal calculation are based on the specified fuel composition. Thanks to this, the basic dimensional design of the boiler and its efficiency are determined. Calculation of this work focuses mainly on thermal calculations and dimensional design of individual heat transfer surfaces. Basic drawing of the boiler is available in the attachment of the thesis.
Specifications in the heat calculation of electrothermal devices
Mikmek, Vladislav ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the heat calculation of a resistance crucible furnace with emphasis on the influence of selected specifications. The whole process of the heat calculation is described. The calculation used in this thesis requires inputs as the kind of material of the batch or it's weight, the dimensions of the crucible and of the heating elements and others. The output of the calculation is the heat necessary to melt the batch, power needed by the crucible, the dimensions of the resistance spiral, permitted surface load of the spiral and the number of supports in the furnace to hold the heating elements. Parts of the canculation where there is possible to choose different methods to acquire needed values are also mentioned. The last chapter shows on a particular example of crucible furnace the influence of selected specifications on quantities dependent on these specifications. In selected parts of the calculation, that can be done by at least two diffent methods, is shown the influence of the choice on the partial result. In the case of a bigger differences of the results is shown even the influence on the subsequent parts of the calculation and final results. The contribution of the thesis is a summarization of the influences of the selected specifications on the results of the heat calculation. It also shows that some selected specifications have minor and other major influence on the calculation.
