Belgian foreign policy towards its former colonies

This thesis deals with Belgian foreign policy towards its former colonies since colonialism to the present. Particular emphasis is put on the crucial moments of their relationship, which are character of the colonial administration, process of decolonization, civil war in the former colonies and current bilateral cooperation. The conclusion and evaluation of Belgian foreign policy is based on analysis of historical and political mutual relations.
Entrepreneurship of small and medium-sized companies in Belgium

This thesis is focused on the analysis of business conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises in Belgium. First chapter involves the definition of these companies, describes their weaknesses and strengths and importance in the European Union. Next part includes short information about Belgium and contains also the description of the local business environment. Third chapter aims at the characteristics of small and medium-sized companies in Belgium considering the total number of active companies, employment and other measures and analyzes in detail the system of the public support at the european, national and regional level. The last part compares the sector of SMEs in Belgium with the same category of enterprises in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze a business cooperation between the Czech Republic and Belgium. The first chapter presents Belgium from geographical, historical, political and economic perspective. The second chapter describes trade relations between the Czech Republic and Belgium. The third chapter focus on the differences in Czech and Belgian culture. These differences are at first examined on the basis of Hofstede's cultural dimensions, then with regard to the linguistic diversity of the country and its impact on trade negotiations. The theory described in the second and the third chapter is confronted with the experience of surveyed companies operating in this area.
The availability of mobile internet access in the Czech Republic

This work is focused on the internet access availability via mobile connection. Technologies being used or available on the Czech market are discussed. The current products offered on the mobile internet connection market for end users are featured. Products being suitable to representatives chosen with regards to the opinion poll are recommended. Conditions on the Czech market are compared with the market of a representative chosen among the advanced members of the EU. Eventually, possible developing trends and further recommendations are discussed.
E-marketing strategy for introducing peruvian products in selected European country

The Internet has revolutionized the way the world used to work by becoming a crucial part in people's lifestyle. Nowadays, the speed and extent with which people can communicate has reached unimaginable levels, affecting significantly their behavior and the way they do business. This thesis aims to clarify how does business models have changed with the implementation of the Internet by introducing one of its newest e-business models, an "online store" and its following e-marketing plan concepts. Similarly, the thesis also aims to elaborate a project where this e-business model is used to introduce Peruvian products to the Belgian market and evaluate its viability. For this purposes, an e-marketing plan of the mentioned project was developed including macro and micro analysis and customer analysis with its respective marketing research, finalizing with the elaboration of the e-marketing mix strategies. The results of the project revealed that most of the changes of implementing Internet in the business process become noticeable in the formulation of the marketing mix strategies. Regarding the project itself, the study concluded that there exist the right conditions in the country and its potential customers to be profitable. Nonetheless, success will only be reached by the effective implementation of the promotional strategies that help create brand-awareness and loyal relationships with the customers.
The Czech Republic and the Issue of Refugeeism Compared with Other Types of Immigration After Accession to the European Union

My thesis is based on description of asylum policy of Czech Republic after year 1989, as well as the fact about influence of entering Czech Republic in EU, according to asylum policy and the number of immigrants. There is a description of immigration after year 1989. There is also a description of the number of immigrants and the common view of these questions. This situation is compared with the situation in similar Belgium. The main purpose of my thesis is to make description in the domain of immigration in both countries and further comparation in the domain of asylum policy, the number of immigrants and their nationality origin. My thesis also includes common asylum and migration policy of EU. According to a fact that immigration to Belgium started earlier and that Belgium is called the "Land of asylum", this country was always very attractive destination with many new opportunities and better standards of life. There was also a big immigration influence to local culture. There is a big difference between Belgium and Czech Republic, because Czech Republic has not had yet open approach to other nationalities. The immigration to Czech Republic started much later and there is no important influence to czech culture. The nationalities of incoming immigrants to both countries are also different.
Social security for people living within European union for example

The Bachelor thesis comprehends how to coordinate the social security system within the European Union, that it isn't subject to unnecessary barriers of free movement. The first part will mapp of social security from the Middle Ages to the present and further work aims to coordinate, its principles and means of implementing the various components of social security and coordination in the course of practice. The second part will be devoted to specific social security systems in selected countries. Countries, whose social welfare work will be addressed, are Belgium and the Czech Republic. States were selected based on their position in the EU, where Belgium represents one of the founding members, while the Czech Republic is cited as an example of new accession countries. The aim of this work is closer cooperation tendencies of the system between the EU and through the comparison of selected countries to determine the extent to which different countries social security systems changed.

The bachelor thesis analyzes social and economical influence of the European institutions on Belgium. Text is divided into three parts. First chapter shows historical development of the presence of the European institutions in Belgium and present Belgium itself.Second chapter introduces cultural policies of EU and their influence on Belgium and culture of Belgium. Third chapter focuses on economical, social and demographic influence of the European institutions. This is analyzed separately for Brussels and Belgium.
