Strong non-linear oscillators modelling
Kocanda, Lubomír
Several basic features of soft impact oscillators were invented and proved by means of experiment, numerical simulation and theoretical solution. The strong and soft impact phenomena and stable grazing bifurcation crossing were explained by means of the analytical solution, as well. New methods of piecewise linear system stability investigation were designed and compare with conventional methods. Some basic piecewise linear system features were found.

Rotach, M. ; Berkowicz, R. ; Brechler, J. ; Jaňour, Zbyněk ; Kastner-Klein, P.
The present contribution aims at summarising the work of working group 1 within COST 715, which is concerned with the urban wind field.
Stability conditions of Jezeří Hill in the present period of open - pit coal mining under Krušné hory Mts
Košťák, Blahoslav ; Kudrna, Z. ; Vilímek, V.
Monitoring in the stability pillar of Jezeří Hill in the open pit mine ČSA provides data for the prognosis of further development of deformation.
Ab initio calculations of theoretical strength and phase stability in copper
Černý, M. ; Šob, Mojmír ; Šandera, P.
Simulation of tensile test of copper cryslat along <001> is performed using ab initio full-potential linear augmented plane waves (FLAPW) method. Both the local density approximation (LDA) and generalized gradient approximation (GGA) are used to evaluate exchange-correlation contribution to the total energy. Equilibrium lattice parameter and Young modulus are computed ro assess reliability of our results by comparing them with experiment. Stability conditions for uniaxially loaded system are presented and analyzed. Finally, the ideal strength (IS) is calculated.
Stability of the Newtonian Film Flow Down an Oscillating Inclined Plane. I. Orr-Sommerfeld Problem in a Long-Wave Asymptote
Wein, Ondřej ; Tihon, Jaroslav
Stability of the film flow an oscillating inclined plane is analyzed. Following the previous analysis by Bauer and von Kerczek (1991), the 2D linearized equations of fluctuating motion around the primary (superposed oscillatory) flow field a for a Newtonian Fluid are analyzed. The long-wave (small wave number ?)asymptotic expansion in solved up to the order O(?).
