Migration and Its Impact on the Balance of Payments in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the impact of the migration process on the balance of payments in the Czech Republic, more accurately the impact of migration on the current account of the balance of payments in the Czech Republic. The first chapter contains general introduction to the migration process in the European context. At the same time it summarizes the main positive and negative effects of migration on the states economies. The second chapter compares the migration flows in the Czech Republic and it also describes the development of the immigration flow and the development of the emigration of the Czech citizens to foreign countries. The third chapter explains the term remittances and shows their importance in the world as remittances relate to the migration process and also influence the balance of payments of the states. The fourth chapter provides a necessary theoretical frame of the balance of payments. The main fifth chapter analyzes the impact of migration on the balance of payments in the Czech Republic.

It also analyzes the country's trade policy on both multilateral and bilateral level. A separate chapter is devoted to business relations of France and the Czech Republic.

The way of Czech Republic and entrance of Slovak republic to EMU is described in theird chapter. Fourth part anlyzes and compares development of the CZK and SKK (EUR). The final chapter compares the development of the shapes of the Czech and Slovak external economic balance.

The objective of this thesis is to analyze the position of Italy in the international trade and to predict the development of Italy's foreign trade as a potential way out of the economic recession. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first one describes Italy's characteristic features and economic situation. The second part focus on the position of Italy in the international trade from following points of view: balance of payment, investment position, territorial and commodity structure. The final part is dedicated to bilateral trade relations between Italy and Czech Republic.

The content of the thesis is the international labour migration and its impact on the balance of payments in the Czech Republic. The first chapter provides the theoretical framework for the balance of payments, its classification and the principle of international transactions recordings. The following chapter is focused on the international migration flows, the current tendencies and issues. The final parts of the thesis describe the current situation of migrants in the Czech Republic, their impact on the economy development in the context of the income and current transfers of the balance of payments. The main goal of this study is to review how much the labour migration influences the development of the balance of payments in the Czech Repulic.

The aim of this thesis is to assess Canada's position within international trade, in relation with the country's past economic development and its current economic situation. Another objective of the thesis is to analyze the country's trade policy at both multilateral and bilateral level. In this context, the thesis assesses the importance of economic relations between Canada and its main trading partners, i.e. the United States and the European Union. An important part of the thesis also deals with the Canada-EU free trade agreement (so called CETA) which is currently under negotiation and is expected to be signed in late 2011.

Mechanisms of the European Union for solving the balance of payments issues (case studies of Latvia, Hungary and Romania)

The aim of this bachelor work is to explain and to describe the system of financial assistance of the European Union and other international financial institutions -- balance of payments assistance -- and its influence on the macroeconomic situation of the particular countries. The theoretical part is devoted to the structure of the balance of payments, detailed in the current account and the financial account, balancing the current account deficit, enlisting the mid-term financial loan in the balance of payments and to the structure of "balance of payments assistance". The aim of the practical part is to assess reasons (on the basis of the macroeconomics analysis) which led selected countries to receive mid-term financial loan from international financial institutions, to describe the conditions under which it was accepted and to describe their economic development after they received the financial aid.
