Drápalíková, Jitka ; Mezera Michal, Bc. MSc (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with elaboration of data protection proposal using Data Loss Prevention technology for a particular organization. The theoretical part is focused on data problematics in company’s environment and the DLP technology itself. The work also covers the comparison of DLP products on the market, selection of the product, its scope, proposal of setting and calculation.
Assessment of the level of cyber risks using the proposed tool
Černoušek, Robin ; Veselý Jindřich, Ing. MBA (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of information security management system and determination of the current level of cybersecurity maturity and determination of risk areas. The theoretical part contains the basic background and concepts of the whole thesis. The chapter of the current state analysis introduces the organization and describes the current state of its information security management system and risk management. The actual design of the solution is a tool created in MS Excel that allows the organization to determine the current level of risk.
Vulnerability Analysis of Data Protection in Selected Company
Strachová, Zuzana ; Vlastimil,, Svoboda (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with security assessment in the area of data protection of a part of the information system in a selected company. In my thesis, I examine the security status and security controls in place and try to detect actual or potential vulnerabilities. Based on an analysis performed by means of interviews, using assisted assessment methodology and automated vulnerability-finding method, I suggest security enhancements. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an introduction to the topic of data protection and defines the basic related terms.
Protection of data transmission against long error bursts
Malach, Roman ; Lambertová, Petra (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This Master´s thesis discuses the protection of data transmission against long error bursts. The data is transmited throught the channel with defined error rate. Parameters of the channel are error-free interval 2000 bits and length of burst error 250 bits. One of the aims of this work is to make a set of possible methods for the realization of a system for data correction. The basic selection is made from most known codes. These codes are divided into several categories and then the best one is chosen for higher selection. Of course interleaving is used too. Only one code from each category can pass on to the higher level of the best code selection. At the end the codes are compared and the best three are simulated using the Matlab program to check correct function. From these three options, one is chosen as optimal regarding practical realization. Two options exist, hardware or software realization. The second one would seem more useful. The real codec is created in validator language C. Nowadays, considering language C and from a computer architecture point of view the 8 bits size of element unit is convenient. That´s why the code RS(255, 191), which works with 8 bits symbols, is optimal. In the next step the codec of this code is created containing the coder and decoder of the code above. The simulation of error channel is ensured by last program. Finally the results are presented using several examples.
Data Backup and Data Storages
Trebulová, Debora ; Šimkovic, Peter (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on ways of backing up data and their practical use in a specific proposal for Transroute Group s.r.o.. In the introduction part the theoretical knowledge on this issue is presented. Next part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of backup in the company. This section is followed by a chapter where several solutions are presented each with their financial evaluation. The ending part is composed of the choice of a specific solution and a time estimate for its implementation.
Data Backup and Data Storages
Višňovec, Lukáš ; Chvátalová, Zuzana (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the issues of data backup and protection. This data belongs to a company whose business is in the area of IoT. The company obtains the data from their customers, their own project or other documents. Until now the company has used cloud storage. Because of safety and growing requirements for the storage capacity this thesis deals with the design of safe local data storage for IoT and other archive data. A concept of data center with server storage is being proposed while the storage is divided in two parts. The first and bigger part is an IoT data storage and the second and smaller part focuses on archive server. The performance, safety and price requirements are also taken into account. Majority of the data is designed to be gradually trasfered from cloud to local storage by blocks. In the first block the changes needed and the following use of the cloud are being considered. The second block is the design of a safe and redundant network infrastructure. The third block is formed by the design of an own storage and the way of its backup with the use of redundant array of independent disks.
Company Data Protection
Koutný, Miroslav ; Drozd, Michal (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with company data protection issue. Company information is the most valuable article therefore it must be protected. The work focuses on analysis of current state and propose solution based on security standards.
Company Security Outline and Long Distance Connection Scheme
Hanáková, Dominika ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of the security measures and remote access of the company. On the basis of this analysis it‘s boundaries have been defined, the individual assets, security threats and risks have been identified and current security measures evaluated. In the practical part of the thesis, I’m going to propose suggestions for improvement of the measurements. These measures should help the company with the protection of the assets and lower the risks of damage.
Best Practices of Information Security for Small Health Facilities
Fábryová, Bianka ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This thesis deals with proposal of the best practices of Information Security focusing on small medical facilities and data protection of the pacients. The introductory part of this thesis focuses on the theoretical background of information security, based on the series of standards ISO/IEC 27000. In the practical part, based on the application of theoretical knowledge, there is formulated a proposal of recommended steps health care facilities should take to compliance with the principles of information security.
