History of steelmaking
Houzar, David ; Kaňa, Václav (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is a technical summary describing the history of steelmaking. It is focused on time period from 1950s to nowadays. There has been mentioned the ancient history of steelmaking and ironmaking. The thesis also deals with kinds, composition and structures of the steel, with principle of making row iron and also priciples of steelmaking – electric furnace, oxygen converter and basic procedures of secondary metallurgy. There is mentioned a direct making of iron from the ore as well.
History of steelmaking
Kosmák, Jaroslav ; Laštovica, Jaroslav (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the history of steel as a material used to produce cold weapons. The introduction describes the brief history of steel production since the beginning of the iron to the present. The second part focuses on the technology of production of raw iron and steel and raw materials for their production. The next chapter gives a historical survey of the sword, which was a leading representative of cold weapons and the materials and technologies for its production. The last part of this thesis deals with a Damascus steel as a specific material used for cold weapons.
History of steelmaking
Pešek, Jakub ; Kaňa, Václav (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work aims to capture the historical development of treatment technology of iron and steel from the very beginning until about the 60th of the last century. To familiarize readers with the basic materials that are necessary for production of iron and history of procedurs that were and are important for the quality of the material . Another aim is to describe the basic furnaces and forges, which were used during this time and are still used.
Welding Basic Course on 135 Technology
Dolejský, Tomáš ; Opletal, Jan (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
TOMAS DOLEJSKÝ: Welding Basic Course on 135 Technology. The project developed within the framework of the bachelor's study of a branch Engineering technology presents a proposal for a theoretical and a practical parts of the welding basic course with a method 135 in accordance with the curriculum of Czech Welding Society-ANB. The latest norms or up to the present time still valid ones are presented in the project. A theoretical part contains a necessary minimum of requirements for participants of the welding basic course. In the chapter of a welding technology is presented a practical part of this welding process and important principles for a required quality of welded joints according to long-time experience. In a conclusion there is an interpretation of a norm ČSN 05 0705 according to what welding basic courses are realized and a welding process WPS is presented here and a proposal of examining tests for a passing an exam in a welding basic course.
Weldability of steels for steam turbine parts
Jech, David ; Hutařová, Simona (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
The aim of contemporary standard welding technologies is to create compact welds with high value of solidity and toughness in laboratorial and operational conditions. This welding technology is asserted in new creep - resisting steels on basis of steel CrMoV and CrMoNiV, which have high value of solidity and creep - resistance. The thesis deals with problems connected with the weldability of steels for steam turbine rotors and it´s aim is to interpret the structural and mechanical features of the weld joint for material combinations under consideration. For the assessment of weld joint features has been used measuring of micro hardness and hardness according to Vickers, microstructure was observed by methods of light microscopy.
New trends and material usage in bicycle frame design
Jelínek, Vladimír ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Juliš, Martin (advisor)
Thesis in its first part summarizes the evolution of the bicycle from the draisine to the low wheels with a focus on the material of the frame of the bicycle. Also discussed in this section is an overview of small structural modifications, which were gradually used on a bike, like Bowden brake or the first type of transmission system. In the second part, the thesis describes the operating principles and types of suspension forks and disc brakes. Mentioned are materials that are currently used for bike frames with a focus on the advantages and disadvantages of each material used and its future anticipated use.
The Material Selection for Bicycle Components
Táborský, Miroslav ; Liškutín, Petr (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
The final work is focused on problematics of material selection for bicycle components. It contains summary of basic information about materials whitch are used for bicycle components and these materials are compared from various aspects.
Steels according european standards
Brhlík, David ; Stránský, Lubomír (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
These work contain thesis about steels according European standards. The main contribution of this work is equaling of new and old according standards and their useability.
The Roofing of the Sport Hall
Müller, Radek ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
In my project I dealt with a proposal pool roof in the town of Brno. As the main construction material was used glued laminated wood. For affiliate structure was used steel and solid wood. Construction has a span of approximately 40 meters, length 60 meters and a height about 11.5 meters. For a given type of structure and for aesthetic and ergonomic reasons, decided to design a curved beam of glued laminated timber supported by a pillar of glued laminated timber. End of the cantilever beam is supported by a steel column.
Multipurpose Sport Hall
Jakubíček, Tomáš ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
I designed supporting structure of roofing for multipurpose sports hall located in Pardubice. Building height is 15 meters and the other two dimensions are 50x80 meters. It is an arched truss construction, which is located above the roof deck. The arch is asymmetrically supported with a height difference of supports 6.5 m. The actual frame is made out of steel S355 and is formed by circular profiles. The solution chosen offers free ceiling inside the hall and shows the supporting structures. Part of my bachelor thesis was to made static calculations and drawings.
