Diseases and pests of grasses
BÁLEK, Václav
In the search I selected diseases and pests that are harmful to grasses specifying the damage to the health of plants, methods of diagnosis and economic threshold of harmfulness. In addition, I mention about the resistance, which is very important in this issue, because today is already grown and bred resistant varieties and the subsequent intervention against diseases and pests by pesticides or any other form of protection is not usually needed.
Influene of management practices on grassland structure and dynamics
HNILIČKA, Ladislav
The thesis concerns in botanical structure of the grasslands, its ecological value and the ways of cultivation, including the description of utilized agrotechnics, which has an influence on a structure and dynamics of the grassland.
Appraisal of small mechanization for adjustment and maintaining grass surfaces according to chosen exploitation indicators.
ZEMAN, Jaroslav
This work gives a comprehensive overview of small mechanization for adjustment and maintaining grass surfaces. Individual chapters deal with detailed description of all kinds of small mechanization and working with them. It follows an analysis of exploitation, energetic, economic and environmental indicators. The work shows the results of measuring of chosen indicators of five concrete reaping machines and compares them among one another. The evaluation I came to during the measuring is given in the conclusion.
Water balance in short rotation poplar coppice and reference grass-plot in conditions of Czech-Moravian Highlands
Orság, Matěj ; Fischer, Milan ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Hlavinka, Petr ; Kučera, J. ; Balek, J. ; Žalud, Zdeněk
This text presents results of a study focusing on differences of water balance between two contrasting cultures - short rotation poplar coppice and grass plot in conditions of Czech-Moravian Highlands. Actual evapotranspiration (by Bowen ratio energy balance method), precipitation and soil moisture in two layers (0 – 0.45 m and 0.45 – 0.90 m) were measured on both plots during seasons 2008 – 2010. The seasonal water lost through evapotranspiration was higher for the grass (560.4 and 508 mm for grass and 523.8 and 351.8 mm for poplar during growing season 2009 and 2010 respectively), but generally the observed amounts of ETa are comparable for both cultures and within the range of values described in literature. Results of soil moisture measurements expressed as soil water availability [mm] were compared with simulations obtained from water balance model SoilClim. The model a little bit underestimated the amount of available water in the system, since based on water balance closure we suggest that there is a higher water income than was recorded from precipitation. This extra water found in observed systems may be supplied probably by lateral underground water inflow from the upper fields.
Grass - GIS and its using for data vizualization
VAŠKOVÁ, Jiřina
This thesis deals with the general issue of geographic information system GRASS distributed under the licence GNU GPL. It introduces the system itself and its possibilities as well as describes the terminology used in the Geography scientific sector. It also can be use as a simple handbook for teaching GIS.
The design of the production of biogas from fresh grass.
ŽIVNÝ, Jakub
Work is concered with the biogas production from the fresh grass mass, which come up when the grass is being cut on regular basis in the parks and side parts of communities and cities. There is a detailed description of the biogas production defined in the beginning of the Theses in the literature overview. Next, we define the material properties suitable for the biogas production, concerning on the grass mass. In practice, there is a prototype example showing how the biogas station could manipulate the fresh grass mess in real, linked to the harvest line.
Assessment of forage characteristics of a new varietes and new-cultivated forage grasses and legumes
ŘEBÍKOVÁ, Michaela
Grasslands are an important stabilizing and conservative part of agriculture-system through mid-europian conditions. Permanent and temporary grasslands have a lot of production and non-production functions. The aim of thesis is an assessment of fodder and agro-technical qualities of selected new varieties, cultivation of fodder grass and clovers in monocultures and simple mixtures and proposal of instruction to use of tested fodder species. The experiment has been taken at breeding station TAGRO Červený Dvůr s. r. o. The fodder grass experiment at small plots started in 2006. The clovers experiment at small plots started in 2007. The fodder grass experiment has been analyzed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd utilitarian year and the clover experiment for 1st and 2nd utilitarian year. Average production of dry grass material has been found of 16,24 t.ha-1 (Bromus inermis Tabrom) to 20,43 t.ha-1 (Arrhenatherum elatius Median). Average production of dry clovers material has been found of 11,31 t.ha-1(Trifolium pretense Tábor) to 13,28 t. ha-1(Bromus marginatus Tacit + Medicago sativa Pálava). The highest yield of dry biomass show Arrhenatherum elatius Median, Dactylis glomerata Trerano and Festulolium Hykor. These varieties are suitable to grow as a monoculture. The highest yield of dry clovers material show Lotus corniculatus Lotar, Taborak and Malejovský. Suitable mixtures are Bromus marginatus Tacit + Medicago sativa Pálava and Bromus inermis Tabrom + Medicago sativa Pálava.
Seed of field`s produce from today`s look
RATAJOVÁ, Alena
Annotation This diploma work is focused on multiplication and production of the grass seed and clovers. There is a sum of factors influencing succesful production of the seed. Main objective of my diploma work is focuse on just one of those factors which is appearance of the weed in multiplication area, problems of its cleaning and influence on quality of the seed. Nowadays is seed production very important. After the entry to EU there was a massive decline of dairy herds whereas beef cattle becoming more and more important and influencing pasture programs. Subsidy which is going into program for this kind of usage of agricultural land are very interesting. Essential for succesful use of this subsidy is always usage of certified seed of grass mixtures or its componets.
