PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Adéla
The theoretical part describes types of CAN syndrome, i.e. torture, abuse and neglect of children and their medical, psychological and social consequences. There are also addressed issues of risk factors for the children´s torture, abuse and neglect. In another part of the theoretical work there are given possibilities of a prevention, treatment and assistance to victims of this pathological phenomenon. A large part of the theoretical work is devoted to a legal aspect of the torture, abuse and neglect and finally it describes their possible victimization and prevention. An aim of this thesis is based on a comparison of results from a questionnaire survey conducted at two groups of respondents. These two groups consist of respondents from the village of Vílanec and respondents from the town of Jihlava. The first goal was to find out an awareness of respondents from both groups of the issues on the abuse and neglect including possibilities of their prevention. The second goal was to compare the information obtained between both target groups. Both these goals have been met. The research of this bachelor work was made in the form of a quantitative research, a technique of a questionnaire survey. On the basis of the aims the hypothesis H1 was determined: ?The increased awareness of the issues of children´s abuse and neglect will be proved by respondents from the town of Jihlava against the awareness of respondents from the village of Vílanec.? This hypothesis was not confirmed.

Cases addressing the situation of vulnerable children by teachers at elementary schools.
ŠVEHLOVÁ, Petra
The issue regarding the cases of primary school children at risk was selected for the bachelor thesis. Teachers of the primary school have important role when dealing with cases of children at risk. The goal of the bachelor thesis was to help to see what the situation of the issue of children at risk is at primary schools. At the same time the goal was to notify how the primary school teachers subsequently deal with the situation of children at risk. The method of questioning ? a semi-structured interview ? was used for data gathering. On the basis of the research results, hypotheses from the point of view of primary school teachers relating to the difficult situation of children and the way of dealing with these situations if there is a suspicion of a child at risk were stated. This thesis stresses the important role of school for identifying and subsequent dealing with the cases of children at risk. Its results can be used to increase awareness of the issue in question. A leaflet intended for primary school teachers that can be a simple and quick help to understand what to do when dealing with the issue of a child at risk is the practical output of the bachelor thesis.
Educational program for parents about violance commited on children
AUBRECHTOVÁ, Kateřina
Violence committed against children, especially physical maltreatment, abuse and neglect, is a theme which has recently been covered by media reports more and more often. It is a sad thing that in spite of a big amount of reported cases there is a lot of other ones which remain hidden behind the private household walls. Physical maltreatment, abusing and neglecting children is a very grave and interesting topic at the same time. I started being interested in it already at the secondary school. That is the reason why I have chosen this topic for my final bachelor thesis. The theoretical part focuses on family and child and their position in society. In this thesis we can find types of maltreatment, abusing and neglecting described. Further on we are getting to know the text characteristics, after - effects, victims and perpetrators of each kind of maltreatment. The aim of this work is to find problematic areas of violence committed against children where parents do not have enough information yet. The research was carried out using written questionnaire forms. These ones were handed out to parents of children attending 1st to 4th classes of elementary schools in Sazavka and Habry. In my thesis, three hypotheses have been set. The first one implies that the foreknowledge of the patents is closely connected with their age. This hypothesis has not been confirmed. The second one implies that the foreknowledge of the patents is closely connected with their education. This hypothesis has not been proved either. The last one implies that the parent who is informed should know at least one example of four essential types of maltreatnent. This hypothesis has been confirmed by the obtained results. According to answers, 87 % of parents have information on physical maltreatment, 86 % parents on psychical maltreatment, 74 % on sexual maltreatment and 33 % of parents know neglecting. On the basis of the obtained results it will be possible to make an educational programme for parents in the field of violence committed against children.

The thesis illustrates preventive measures on the STOP Violence on Children campaign and on methodological measure defining a procedure for doctors having suspicion of CAN syndrome. The thesis is aimed at finding out the extent of awareness of these prevention programmes among the general public as well as professionals. To reach the aim a research was performed in the practical part. A questionnaire investigation among secondary students, paediatricians, child social-law protection workers and police officers was chosen for the research method. Two hypotheses based on the given aim were formed. The first one says that students of the last year of secondary schools in Tábor do not know the STOP Violence on Children campaign. The hypothesis was not confirmed. The second hypothesis says that paediatricians, child social-law protection workers and police officers of the South Bohemia Region are not familiar with the methodological measure defining a procedure for doctors having suspicion of CAN syndrome. This hypothesis was not confirmed either. The Bachelor Thesis may be utilized as a source of consistent information on the CAN syndrome. Just this age-category of respondentes was a main source of data, needful for my social inquiry. My social inquiry was based on the method of conversation on the strength of the questionary with the respondentes, which I have realized in one of elementary schools in Strakonice. I have given my prepared questions to children in age of seven to eleven years old. Due to their answers I have achieved important results, which confirm or disprove my hypoteses.
